wellness instead of sick care?

this makes total sense esp if you look at the differnces in people on here - how much less do you spend on medical needs vs preventatives and good health now than before surgery -

yes I spend $ on vits, protien shakes and working out but it has to be less than if we were paying for insulin, heart issues and the way I was heading a scooter

what are your thoughts - NOT the political stuff but wellness and prevention vs sick care?

I agree with you Dani.  I spend a lot less for meds and Dr bills now than I did before. 

Medical Bills =  thounsands maybe millions
Perscirptions = thousands
New Life = Priceless

Except for Chris' lip thing we've only been to the doctor by CHOICE since having our surgeries.  Neither of us has been sick KNOCK ON WOOD LOUDLY!!!  Now, the kids are another story.....

I probably spend more on health care than anyone for a healthy person.  I don't think of myself as sick but I have "conditions"  I am allergic to almost everything environmental, so I take medications and injections for that.  I have arthiritis everywhere...can't take meds for that so I take pain meds (tramadol)   As a result of knee surgery I have a DVT...doesn't look like its going to go away so I take coumadin for that.  Of course I take vitamins and protein supplements.

The good news is I no longer take blood pressure or diabetic meds. 

I am healthy and mobile  who could ask for more.
