Galveston suggestions

My family wants to take a trip to Galveston Next week but we dont know where to stay i suggested San Luis but of course with Luxury comes high prices, I also looked into The holiday inn which I think is right next to The San Luis and the price isnt so bad $121 a night for wednesday & Thursday night. We wanna stay on the beach.

Any suggestions on where to stay and things to do????

We stayed at the Comfort Inn/Suites when we were there...it was nice and right across from the beach.

Getting the Moody Gardens Jacuzzi Suite is AMAZING!!!

Overlooks the pool..full size jacuzzi.. room is nice.. access to the pyramids...

They also have their own little beach.. and a nice pool...

If you don't wanna spring for the expensive jacuzzi suite.. just get a regular room there...

You will be SO glad you did...

Things to do:

The Strand
Tour homes such as Bishops Palace
Schlitterbahn
Moody Gardens
Aircraft Museum
So much more, I am going with my family in 2 weeks!

Not sure on prices but there ar elots of B&B's you can look into! And the moody Aquarium is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a great time!

  It has several nice beach houses you can rent for the whole weekend, or just one night!

  As far as things to due, our kids love to ride on the ferry at least once when we are in Galveston.

  You can rent horses and ride up and down the beach.   You can rent these bikes that hold 4-5 people and you can ride it up and down the sea wall, rent Jet Skies, tour Moody Mansion, go to the Moody Gardens they have breath taking exhibits, the rain Forrest with all the tropical birds is my kids favorite.    

Galveston has a ton of very nice restraints as well as fast food.  

MoodyGardens also has an I MAX theater.  

And of course go to the beach at have a blast!  
Side Note, I would not plan to stay on the other beaches after you cross the ferry; I would just turn back around.  

As I said my kids love to go on it so we went about 3 weeks ago, there are still work trucks, glass, and only 1 gas station. It’s still in ruins since IKE.
