Okay guys I'm 3 weeks out and.I have lost my first 20 pounds.  But, the scale hasn't moved in a week.  Any suggestions on how to get my weight loss started again?  I'm ready to rev it up!!!!

I have been losing 1 lb per day since my surgery June 9th.  My dr. said, it your protein first and other things after your protein.  This helps you lose fat and build muscle.  Right now I can't eat much of anything, but I did manage to eat a SF rice pudding awhile ago.  I had to have something.  This infection is getting the best of me.

Good Luck,
DeborahL.

don't stresss - your body is in masive shock from surgery - both the RNY AND the meds going under ect - you will lose in starts and stops for the first 6 to 9 months for sure - after that some people level out

if you did not take your mesurments DO SO NOW - that will keep you sane though stalls - do not try things like the platue buster or 5 day pouch test you are way way to early out - your tool IS working but this is a human body not a flow chart :)

if you are up to working out do so - add more water and protien if you can - those are things you CAN do this early out

From week 2-5 I didn't lose anything.  I actually gained a couple of pounds and lost those again during that time.  It's very normal.  Don't stress it.  Once I started losing I lost 20 pounds in about 2 weeks.  It was the worst time in my weight loss journey for me.  I was so tired during that time.  My body just didn't handle it that well.  Everyone is different.  I stalled every month for at least a week during the first year.  Just keep doing what you are suppose to do and the weight loss will start up again.

First I want to congratulate on losing your first 20lbs.  My wls buddy who is almost 1year out has told me that during the first few weeks you could be up and down and not to get discouraged and to follow dr. orders and not to allow the scale to overwhelm you.
