13 months out..
Wow...talk about a ride...I had my surgery on May 5th of 2008. On May 14th I ran a half marathon...amazing what shedding 150 lbs can do to your life. I have actually had someone call me scrawny...LOL...been called much worse!! HA!! Just wanted to say...even though I haven't been on the site too much lately...at least in an active role...I love you all and think about all of your successes when I start to feel down or drained...You all are an inspiration to me...And to the newbies just out of surgery or the ones fighting the good fight for approval through your insurance...DON'T GIVE UP...This is so worth the pain, the mental trials...everything...I would NEVER take back what I have done..
Way to go on your mini marathon, which is obviously great and outstanding, good for you!!
Oh! As far as being called scrawny, I’d take that any day over people telling me “You’re not fat sweetie , you’re just big boned." LOL I detest that phrase!
