GOOD MORNING! Its Tuesday. In 48 hours we'll be waking in a hotel room next to the hospital and heading there. We decided to go ahead and stay nearby tomorrow night, so we didn't have to worry about traffic, etc. Bryan will find out tomorrow what time the surgery will be. We hope its not later in the day because that would be hard for him to go without any liquids or food all day. Right now we're just in getting everything ready mode.
Liz and Que-feeling better? I hope so. Michelle- I've got a sitter in July 11th all day for Steph's BBQ- if you want to drop Eric off at our house, he's welcome to stay here and play. Briant, our sitter, said he could watch both, take them to the park or something fun like that, etc. Plus we have a Wii and a game cube and of course tons of Lego's and other stuff!

Today I am meeting with an auditor about how I feel about our office and how well we work together and how we're treated, etc. Its the first time they've done this. Most met yesterday with the person, but I was busy all day with appointments. Should be interesting.

That's about it from here. Hope everyone has a wonderful day today!

Alissa, I'm sure I don't need to say this, but I know everything is going to be great with Chris and his surgery!!  You and he are in my prayers!!

I have a meeting today at 9 am with the Injury Compensation people to discuss "the possibility of no work" for me.  Stupid.  The Postal Service has been going through what they call National Reassessment of all their Injured On Duty people.  They are trying to intimidate all of us into either quitting or retireing or something.  Well, I'm going to fool them.  I'm going to talk to my doctor about getting an actual bid job!  I'm hoping that I can go back to full duty.  I've been kinda work hardening since I've been deliveriing Priority Mail and I'm pretty sure I could do a job at a station.  It's not standing full time and the weight limits are pretty ok.  We'll see.  I've got an appointment with my doctor on the 1st to talk about it.  Please keep me in your prayers today that I don't get "screwed" by da man!!  Thanks!

Well, I can't spend too mucn time here, I discovered that I need to water my garden in the mornings so they are prepared for the heat. My plants have been wilted in the afternoons when I get there because it has been way too hot for them to deal with.  So, from now on, wateriing in the morning.  We're going to set up an automatic watering system so I don't have to worry about physically standing here with the hose and tending to it.

Well, better get into the shower so I can get to the watering and get to work!  Love ya!

Good Morning Alissa & TMB,

I have been wide awake for a while.  My pre-op is scheduled for this morning at 8:00 a.m.  I am excited but slightly nervous at the same time.

I pray that everything goes well for your family.  Prayers for everyone who needs them.  Good luck with the auditor.  Have a beautiful day!

Alissa, I hope everything goes as planned for Bryan's surgery.  I'll be away from a computer and the internet at that point.  I stayed at a hotel near my hospital before my surgery.  It's a good idea if you have very far to drive.  I hope he gets to have his surgery early so you don't have to wait it out too long...I know you'll both be nervous.  Prayers for all of you.

Its only about 40 miles or so between our house and hospital but the traffic can be a bear! When he had his EGD I only slept 2 hours because I was so paranoid about waking up too late and then getting stuck in traffic.

I forgot to add the exciting news- there was a senate bill passed in Texas stating that the state and BCBS have to come up with a plan to cover weight loss surgery starting 9/1/09. Too late for us but def. exciting for those working for the state now!
