SORRY you're feeling this way. I know many many others can relate. Its hard at first, but I promise you IT WILL GET BETTER! When you have trouble eating, you could always go back to shakes to get your protein in. Or do small meals-just a few bites- every hour or two-something you can keep in the fridge and just take a few bites of here and there. That way you don't feel like you have to eat a whole meal at once. Hang in there- it does get better.

it does get better like the others said.  but u need to keep eating and not rely totally on shakes. food has other vit., minerals, and nutrients that you need also.  you still need the shakes though. give it another month or so and you will notice a big difference. it took me until about 3 months to start feeling normal.good luck to you. vick

Know the feeling, nothing ever sounds good. Try eating by the clock something every 3-4 hours. I never got that hunger feeling back so I have to pay special care to remember to eat when I get busy. Good luck it does get better and easier.

I know the feeling you are having.  I have not been really hungry since my surgery June 9th, and my doctor told me not to eat until I got hungry.  I drink water, tea, and crystal light all day to stay hydrated.
Today for lunch, I mix up tuna and light miracle whip and toasted one piece of bread.  I made a sandwich and could only eat about 1/4 to 1/3 of it.  I was full.  Last night I had 1 oz of pork chop, and 2 teaspoons of mashed potatoes.
At least try to eat your protein.  That helps you heal faster.
You will find at times your brain says "give me food", but your stomache won't want much.  I can tell when I get full now because I will burp.  I know, yuck, but that is my way of knowing I have had enough.

It gets better, and then you will miss the days of not wanting to eat.  I didn't really feel hunger until I was about 8 months out.  Now I wish that I never got hungry.  But if I eat slow, then I will get full very quickly.

I'm six months out and can tell you that it will get easier.  I just drank lots of protein shakes.  Homemade for me was best, I could not drink the RTD's.  At home I could make them smaller, ounces wise.  Overall, the apetite will return, so in the meantime just know that you're not alone and we've all been there...just do YOUR best and stay positive.
