Sunday WLS Express - Happy Fathers Day
Good morning everyone. I'm already hard at work, yeah right...I'm here but apparently the patients are sleeping in. So far nothing to do. I have a EMT student here for 12 hours so we need something for him to see.
Don't know what the plan is for Father's Day. Clay is trying to decide if he wants to go out after i get off work or just wait til tomorrow when the restaurants are empty. Personally I hope we wait til tomorrow. My Dad died about 5 years ago and I've never shed a tear. He and I just never saw eye to eye. I was never "good enough" for him. I'm sorry that so many of you that loved your Dad's are missing them today. "Talk" to them anyway cuz I'm sure they'll hear you.
Our swimming pool filter crapped out yesterday so we'll be replacing that to the tune of nearly $1000. Just what I need with having to buy 5 new tires and struts this week. Oh well at least we both have jobs for the time being so no complaints here.
Blessings to all, have a great day and feel free to harass me though texts today as it looks like I'm gonna be bored to death. (I can't even get on FB at work, bummer).

I'm on the bike for a 30 min ride......so being on the laptop too is a challenge.....but it sure does make the 30 min go by fast !!
I have started to miss my dad in the past several weeks. He was a cross country truck drive r- not around much when we really needed him - we had our close times....but since 1979 - really drifted apart ....only talk to him on special occassions - his b-day, holidays - etc.....i will call him today though................................................ He lives in N.D and I believe the last time I saw him was approx in 1997 or so..........give or take.!!
amanda has only met her grandpa 1 time.....she was about 9 or 10 ...............she is now 22
HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL MEN OUT THERE..............

Good Morning Liz and the Rest of My TMB Family,
Happy Fathers day to our special dads. I am so blessed to have a dad that is still alive. He is almost 80. Even today he is there to support us when we need it. I am also blessed to have such a wonderful husband who has been such a great Dad to all three of my boys. He adopted the two older ones when we first got married and then of course we both adopted Eric. Takes a special man to do that and I guess I found me one. Not going to church this morning, still have stuff to do around here. Mark worked till who knows what time last night, but I got up and my computer was set up, and there were no boxes he had set my day bed up and moved everything around. It sure looks like home. Got lots of laundry to do today and maybe a trp to Walmart but we will see. He is going over to the old house today to do pool maintaince and to see what the cleaning crew has done so far. We still plan to get the house on the market by the 1st. I am looking forward to the BBQ on the 11th and seeing everyone. Well guess that is all for now. Prayers for all those in need this morning. Liz and Que you guys need to start feeling better. Sure wish I was closer to be able to help in some way! Prayers are with you though. Have a blessed day. Love you guys. Michelle
Worked the Light the Night for Sight event- it was hot but breezy-actually down right windy! Great for me, made it more comfortable, not so great for the pamphlets we had out. Thankfully they were rubber banded so we kept those on! We didn't get much traffic at my booth, but the booth where they Brailled your name and the kick the audible soccer ball under blindfold were crazy busy popular. The soccer ball has a bell in it. They also have beeping baseballs and bell basketballs too. I was suprised at how many people were there! Its really a great family event-bands playing, free food and drinks, jumphouses and a train to ride for the kids- all for $20 to walk the 5k to raise money for Prevent Blindness. Pretty cool!
We got Bryan a few gifts for father's day, will give them to him in a while. He wanted to mow the lawn so he's out there doing it. He's found out that if he keeps busy he isn't hungry. So that's what he wants to do. Plus he knows he's going to be down a while after surgery. We'll also call my dad. We saw Bryan's dad yesterday. Chris has another grandpa of course from his late father's side but we haven't had contact with him in years because we don't have an address or a phone number for him. Only 1 of his father's side family remembered his birthday-neither grandparent did- and this is not unusual so I think he's come to accept this, even though it makes me incredibly sad.
That's about it from here. Hope everyone has a great day today!
planing on clark, FIL for dinner tonight - we started having him over every sunday night when Tims mom died and have missed very few so I know we will miss him when we move. and I know he will miss his grandkids :) check out the pic on face book of Rach on his shoulder a few weeks ago - she would not come back to me after she saw grandpa LOL
Talked to Tim this morning did some puttering around the house, have jerky to get out of the oven - not bad but I am done experimenting and going back to the first recipe I did b/c it was the best - unless you like the spicy stuff I made for Tim, Deb thought it was good
yesterday was great - and I accually slept some last night - still fighting with a headache but it is down to a dull roar so if the kids ever get up we will head to church - pick up a card for grandpa nad a gift card/cert to his fav resturant - well the one he and his TI buddys meet up at every week at least :)
other than that a pretty mellow day planned - church, wally world, home, nap, dinner of oven baked fried chicken and potatoes and corn and beets with homemade ice cream or possibly a store bought pie - I so am not into cooking right now
Liz need to call you - worried about you - hope you get some sleep but not the night I am driving to Ga b/c I am planning on having you to talk to in the middle of the night -
anyone else not sleeping? I am sooooo going to be on my phone all the way to Ga so get my number and plan to call me when you are awake at 2 3 4 am LOL on the night of the 10th
Que glad you are feeling better - I am going to miss you so much but thank god for the internet and cell phones so I won't totally lose track of you or vis versa
and since I can take and send pics from my phone to facebook I can keep everyone up on how much the kids are growing - K is doing so faster than Rach right now which is scary - we may end up spending all the extra moving money on dressing the 2 of them LOL at least with Rach I can add shorts to the dresses or call the used to be pants capries - not so much for K hehehe
hugs and prayers to all
peace

I know what I need to do - I have to choose to take care of me or I choose to fail
oh girl i will be ok. You know heaven wont have me and hells afraid i will take over hehehehe. I need to clarify instructions on the jerky anyway. I didnt quite understand the foil placement thin on the racks in the oven. I wanna make some as i like jerky but cant do the store bouht kind - somethin in the preservatives they use doesnt work with my pouch.
Check with ya later
