Tracey, I admire you and the way you and Sarah have handled the situation, much better that I ever could manage.

I sit here again reading the thread and Melaine posting about the theft on OH and then asking Sarah to drop the charges.....why I might ask?  If Charlene was truly sorry for her actions then I could offer compassion, I don't get that from her at all.  I honestly believe she is looking for sympathy where sympathy isn't warranted.

I, like you, don't understand thiefs.  I'm not very tolerate of people that steal, cheat, and break the law........thankfully there is a justice system in place that hopefully will take care of what needs to be taken care of in this event and in general for criminals.  

She should of realized the consequences of her actions BEFORE she stole from someone .....now that she has to face the music and who knows maybe spend time in jail it's too late to ask for forgiveness.  This is my opinion anyway.

Cigarettes two days before plastic surgery and she wonders why her incisions have turned to deep wounds and aren't healing? Really? Was there any research done on her part prior to these procedures? This isn't a case of karma. This is the case of a patient who thought she was above a complication and didn't heed the warnings to stop smoking before plastics. Apparently, she thinks she's above everything...including prosecution.

Yeah what Jen said!   And being a smoker myself and researching WHAT can happen I was smart enough to NOT tempt fate. 

As I was typing that last night, I was trying to remember the stats on necrosis. Is it necrosis happens in 2% of non-smoking patients and 60% of smoking patients? Since I'm done with plastics going forward, I've let the stat fall out of my head. I, like you, quit smoking in preparation for plastics because the risks were too great.

I'm only going to respond to this one time and than I'm done and I really don't have the energy or the emotion the spare, but you have hurt my chosen family. You keep saying "Mistake" a mistake is something unintentional and stealing is intentional. I hope this was a wake up call for you and if anything good comes out of this maybe you being held accountable for your actions will be the turning point for you. That will be your choice. As a mother and grandmother I can not imagine being that kind of example and that being my legacy for my family. And no I'm not "perfect" but I don't steal or break the law.The blessing that has come out of this is to hopefully show anyone else that might want to do the same thing that we will not tolerate this! There's a Charlene Buss busted for this in 2008.... I would imagine she may still even be on probation for it... Harris Co doesn't give details..

And also busted for this in 87... The 87 one resulted in jail time.. worthless check, forgery, and fraud...
