I have an account with credit; I go to the site and search for the book, order it and someone sends it to me in a week or so.

I will be able to say " I knew her when!" after Ms Emily is famous!!

I'd try Half-Priced Books. There is a HUGE one in Dallas off 75 and Northwest Hwy for those local folks. I'll ask my sister and BIL-both are teachers, Manuel is an English HS teacher and a book nut-has a huge library at home.
I'm with Loralea though-I like www.half.com too.

Becky...I know Ben doesn't have any of these. Have you thought of seeing if there is a kid one year older in your church that might have them from last year? Just an idea. I'll try to remember to ask my sister if her kids have any of them. If you need help getting them, let me know and I'll be glad to buy one or two of them for her. I know being a single mom is hard. I watched my own mom doing what you're doing for several years before she remarried. (don't hesitate on this)

Another reason to go THRIFT STORE shopping while you're here. The classics show up all the time in thrift stores cuz no one wants to keep them!! I'll keep my eye out too so don't "order" any yet, I bet we can find them cheaper.

We had a hard time finding the books for my kids a couple of years ago. I finally got them online at a rental sight called Chegg.com. We rented cheaply for a short time and then returned them when we were finished with them.
