Becky... another place is Half Priced Books... We are looking for The Pearl (John Steinbeck) for Mary and having a hell of a time finding it. They told us to keep checking back cause this is the time that the "summer reading list books start coming in" I'll be calling my local one daily on this mission. ughhhh!

BECKY--what kind of CRAP class are you making OUR kid take, anyway??? I didn't see a SINGLE book by Dean Koontz or Stephen King on that list (now THOSE I could help you with !!!)..let me know if she needs a break and wants some "light" reading (as in with the lights ON)

I don't think we still have any of the ones on your list, but I'll check with Katelyn. Also, try half.com. It's for people reselling used books...the media branch of eBay. I usually pick up what Katelyn needs for a couple dollars a piece, IF I don't wait til the last minute...then I'm at Barnes & Noble at 11:00 pm...LOL.

I will check with my dau to see if she has any of these books, If she does I will bring them with me to Stephanie's house on the 11th My dd has just finished her Freshman year in college but was on the excelerated reading thing in high school. She has so many books surely one of the ones your dau needs is in them.

Thanks so much. The books I read were very different so I might have to sneak a read on these so I know what she is reading. I remember reading Madame Bovary, Gullivers Travels and The Scarlett Letter in High School. Course that was, umm.. a few years ago.

Check with Terry. She was telling me about a paperback book swap web site this morning over breakfast. Also, 1/2 Price Books is awesome. One of my favorite places. Let me know if you want me to check the one here. I've got to go there this week to sell back some of my old books anyway.

thanks everyone! I will be trying 1/2 price book in San Marcos or possibly ordering a used one via Amazon or half.com
I just went to our Hastings and they have every book but want anywhere from $10 to $20 a piece. I'm just not gonna do that.
