WOW What a Thursday !!
Well - I have just learned that my company has layed off 11staff members that report to our Dallas Location.
3 technical staff members (claim adjusters)
8 clerical people - between Houston office, Little Rock, Office and New Orleans Office
fortunately - there was no one impacted right here where I am in Dallas office !!!
They are NOT calling it a "Layoff" ......but a stragic realignment...........
CALL IT WHAT YOU WILL................11 people are now unemployed with severence etc - and I know that they are being taken care of. They were given a 30 day NON-WORKING notice so that they could chill out so to speak and reflect on what has just happened to them.

I really think that is a smart idea, esp. in this bad economy of late, b/c ya just never know ...
(of course, chit can still happen to everything -- my poor brother lost BOTH his jobs in May ..

YES!! 3 jobs......but the 3rd one is very flexible and wants me to come there FT>....which is an option IF something does happen to me at my FT job that I have right now.......
