Hi everyone...I'm back!

I am scared you guys.  Everything is going well, but I read a couple of stories tonight and now I am scared.  I have also read how many complications happen 1-2 months after surgery.  I just want to be okay.  I don't want anything to happen to me.

Please pray for my peace of mind and my health. Like I said I'm doing great.  Or, as well to be expected for 2.5 weeks.

[{(! oN3 Day aT a tiM3 !)}]<toyia>

I'd rather TRYand FAIL, than FAIL to TRY!!!

Complications do happen...with ANYTHING...but NOT to the masses...only to the few.  Consider how many have any WL surgery that AREN'T posting on this forum and how many that are...and then factor in the number of complications.  Hope that helps!

Toyiac,

It's normal to be scared, you are having "buyer's remorse".  Just follow all of your surgeon's instructions, if you have questions, post on the TMB, there are great folks here with a ton of information and help.  You will see more posts from folks that are having problems, than those that are doing great, please try not to stress.  Sending out prayers for your peace of mind, always know that you are resting in the palm of "His" hand, may His grace, peace and comfort surround you.

Blessings,

Avis

You should be fine.  That's pretty normal to think "what have I done" at this point.  If God brought you to it, he'll bring you through it. Hang in there and follow your doctor's orders.  You'll be really glad you did this soon.

deep breath - yes complications happen - people get sick and sometimes don't make it - but soooooo many of us are living breathing proof it works the other way too - I went from super morbidl obese to a healthy woman - even medical people don't relize how bad off I was till they look back at my records - I am living breathing proof that this surgery can bring wonderful things

can it fail - sadly yes but honestly in the first year you have to work at failing to fail

can you do wonderfully - YES you can - how do you do that - you get in a positive frame of mind, be with positive people and ignore the negitive - I am not talking ingnore a pain (call your flippen doc if you are hurting!!! pain is there for a reson - to get help with) but ignore PEOPLE and articles and websites that are negitive

come here - post often read often -

you are also mourning your best friend food - she is dead to you for right now - not forever but you can't see or believe that - for some of us it is like our sisiter or best friend died and NO ONE FREAKING NOTICED no funueral, no cassorales, no flowers nothing - they just go on like life is normal and your comfort and love is gone -
ask anyone who knows me - you can enjoy food agian - ask Debbi T, I made her a sf funnel cake last spring, ask Mel she alters stuff as much as I do

you will be ok hon - I am pming you my cell number - feel free to text or call (I don't always anwer if I don't reconize the number but I will call you back)

come out and join us at things - barker did your surgery so I am guessng you are dallas side of the metroplex - wanna come for a walk on sat? check out the north texas group - it is wonderful to have friends in the same place you are - last meeting (ok and manymeetings honestly) we get a "small" (the say small for the 12 oz size) low sugar frozen yogurt and 6 or 8 spoons and enjoy a treat while we visit - you would be amazed at the number of peeps out there who will gladly talk to you and hang with you

hugs

You will be fine. Just think of how good you are going to look and feel in a month or two. Don't worry about all of the negative things you hear because everybody reacts differently. So don't worry GOD is on your side. Just do what you are supose to do you will be fine. If you want you can IM me.

Toyiac....please don't let stories that people put on the messageboards take your joy and peace away !!!!   Just be aware of what "can" happen.   But sweetie....that doesn't mean it will happen to you.   I had my RNY almost 4 yrs ago.   I did everything my surgeon told me to do to the T and have never had a inch of problems other than makeing bad choices at time and getting dumping syndrome.    LOL   Just do what you are told to do and don't stray....you will be fine....I just know it.    Just eat what he tells you to eat and don't test the waters and you will do great !!!

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Hey girl.  I am a Barker babe too.  I am 2 years out and still worry about things.  Every time I feel "funny" I worry is there something wrong.  You are going to do just fine.  If anything comes up you have a GREAT surgeon that will take care of you.  The first couple of months are hard because you are learning to re-eat all over again.  There will be foods that you eat one day and do just fine and the next day it will make you sick.  Concentrate on all the good things you read.  About how people are now healthier than they have ever been, how they are able to do things they were never able to do before and how much happier they are now.  Try not to worry about what could happen.  You are in my prayers and if you need anything please come here to the board.  We are all here to support you and lift you up.
