I thought I was getting up at 4 to watch the shuttle mission blast off - they could of told me it was scrubbed so I could sleep another hour!!! Since I'm up I figured I'd drive today.
Got a busy day - 6 month teeth cleaning......a big presentation to the monthly customer forum.......guess that's it. It will be a loooooong day for sure.
I was trying to come up with a WOOHOO for the day.............at 2.5+ years they are less dramatic than those first 12 -18 months. I think my WOOHOO is that I have come to appreciate the fabulous support I get from bio family and chosen family here on the TMB!!! {{{{{HUGS}}}} to you all!!!
Here is a little Ray Stevens - I love his songs!!!
Well when I was a kid I would take a trip
every Summer down to "Mississipp," to visit
my Granny and 'er "Auntie Belluam World."
I'd run barefooted all-day long, climbing
trees free as a song; One day I happened
to catch myself a squirrel.
Well I stuffed him down
in an old shoe box, and punched a couple
holes in the top; When Sunday came I snuck em'
in the Church. I sittin' way back on the very
last pew showin em' to my good buddy Hugh,
when that squirrel got loose and went totally
buzzerk.
Well what happened next is hard to tell;
some thought it was Heaven others thought
it was Hell, but the fact that something was
among was plain to see.
As the choir sang " I Surrender All", the
squirrel ran up Harv Newman's coveralls, and
Harv leaped to his feet and said something's got
a hold on me yeeeooow!
CHORUS
The day the squirrel went buzzerk in the
First Self-Righteous Church in that sleepy little
town of Pascagoula. It was a fight for survival
that broke out in revival. They were jumpin' pews
and shoutin' "Hallelujah".
VERSE 2
Well Harv hit the aisles dancin' and screamin'.
Some thought he had Religion others thought
he had a demon, and Harv thought he had a
weed-eater loose in his fruit-of-the-looms.
He fell to his knees to plead and beg, and the
squirrel ran out of his britchy-leg; unobserved
to the otherside of the room.
All the way down to the AMEN pew, where sat
"Sister Bertha Better-than-You", who had been
watching all of the commotion with sufistic glee.
But shoot, you should have seen the look in her eyes
when that squirrel jumped her garders and crossed her
thighs. And she jumped to her feet and said,"Lord have
mercy on me."
As that squirrel mad laps inside her dress she began to
cry and then to confess, to sins that would make a
sailor blush with shame. She told of gossip, and church
desention, but thing that got the most attention was when
she told of her Love Life and then she Started naming names.
CHORUS
VERSE 3
Well seven Deacons and then the Pastor got saved, and
twenty-five thousand dollars got raised, and fifty
volunteered for missions in the Congo on the spot.
And even without an invitation there were at least
five hundred rededications, and we all got
rebaptized whether we needed it or not.
Now you've heard the Bible stories I guess of how he parted the waters for Moses to pass. Oh the Miracles, God has wraught in this old world. But the one I'll remember till my dying day is when He put that church back on the narrow way with a half crazed Mississippi squirrel.

I guess Bryan doesn't have to worry about having time this week to think about not eating food-they've been working him to the bone lately! Makes the time go faster I'm sure. Just a week left of these shakes and then a week and a day from now is the big day!
Chris went to Berger's Lake with his sitter and their family yesterday. He had a blast but was tired last night! And he's decided FINALLY that he would like to learn how to swim. Too bad we don't have a pool nearby to teach him regularly-but we're going to try our best to. Anyone feel like they can teach him to swim? I've never taught anyone to swim before! And classes aren't really designed for a 12 year old beginner. I looked into private lessons at one of the swim schools, but they're WAY too expensive.
My weight has been all over the place-not making good choices, certainly not getting enough water. Need to work on that some more. I seem to fall into a summer weight regain each summer- not sure what that's about.
Hope everyone has a great day today!
Thanks!
I have friends who are school teachers who have been teaching swimming lessons during the summer for I am not trying to guess how many years. LOL They charge $80 and trust me...Chris WILL learn to swim with them. I took lessons as a adult ( about 6 yrs ago. ) and if they can teach this ole dog to swim that couldn't swim a lick they could teach Chris. If you want their name and number PM me or call me. They are excellent !!!! They are here in NRH so not too far from Keller at all. Just let me know. Happy Anniversary too !!!!
Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian
GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE; COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN; AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!! THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.
