Back from Colorado (** PICS **)

We got back yesterday evening and had a fabulous time!!!  The hiking was strenuous because of the altitude and elevation changes, but it felt sooooo good to be able to do it without nearly keeling over LOL.  I even bought me a pretty dress in Estes Park, which I never would have done pre-op.  Oh - we also had those old timey photos made.  I always wanted to  do that and never would before because I looked too fat.  DH picked the Civil War theme and I am the Southern Belle - great fun!  I will try to take a picture of the picture and post if it turns out.

Here are a few of the first hike we took to Hanging Lake.  It was a steep hike over some large rocks - I think about 1200 elevation change - but so worth it when we got to the top:

On the way down - I am in the red baseball cap:

Hiking up to the Continental Divide.  We started at the buildings at the bottom:

We made it !!!!

Feeling pretty in my new dress:

Those photos remind me of our trips to Colorado years ago before we started diving and going in the opposite direction to the shoreline!  Beautiful! I can't imagine walking,,,uphill....at that altitude...you go, Girl!  The dress is so beautiful, we need a full length shot of it!

I actually did the Continental Divide walk a couple of years ago and it was extremely hard on me.  I sucked it up and never admitted to my DH how badly I was suffering, but it was obvious I was struggling by how many times we had to stop.  This time we only stopped a couple of times for me to catch my breath because of the thin air and I recovered quickly.

I bought the dress in an Indian shop from a woman who travels to Nepal a couple of times a year to buy.  It wasn't real expensive and the look on my DH's face when I walked out of the dressing room was worth the price
