Trying to trick my mouth into thinking this is good..lol
I am trying to make a conscious effort to lay off some of the fat and calories in my SET meals. Seems I eat the same stuff every single day during the week.
My standby dinner when nothing else sounds good is spaghetti sauce with ground beef and some mozzarella cheese on top... well I am getting sick of the meat and don't need the cheese.. so i am subbing...
I completely forgot to get spaghetti squash, but I sauteed some mushrooms and zucchini and then added my sauce.. When I realized I had no 'noodles' i really was tempted to do whole wheat pasta. But I am also trying to carb detox some..
So I had a nasty ole can of french cut green beans.. I hate french cut, but as noodles, it's not terrible.. and quite the calorie saver...
this is tough! lol

forgiveness is giving up the hope that the past could be any different
Becky, sometimes I shred zucchini and steam it, then put sauce on it like spaghetti.

Ok that sounds yummy, yummy. Oh yeah I love spagetti squash, I'd never tasted it until my sister made it for noodles several months ago. I love other squash just never knew what to do with this one, lol. Do you microwave it?

yes you can microwave it.
Method: Just get in there and cut it in half (lengthwise) or quarters. You don't want to cut it up too small unless you want short strands. Scrape out the seeds and pulp as you would with any squash or pumpkin.
Bake rind side up about 30 to 40 minutes at 375 F.
Microwave 6 to 8 minutes (let stand for a few minutes afterwards)
Boil 20 minutes or so.
Separate strands by running a fork through in the "from stem to stern" direction
