What's the best reasonable restaurant on the River-walk? My Step-son is graduating from boot camp, and we are taking a bunch out to eat. We need something good, with a good view, and reasonably priced too.
Ideas?
Thanks,
Marsha

There is a great place (Mexican Food) the name is Rita's.  Couldn't tell you exactly what part of the Riverwalk it is on but they have lots of patio space and a great view.  We were there in February and had a wonderful time at Rita's.  We sat and people watched for about 3 or 4 hours.  The service was excellent as well.

Actually there are LOTs and most are resonable prices. Joe's crab shack , Rita's, Achiote river cafe. Paesons ( good Italian) Paloma( Yummy)

If their Riverwalk location is still open, County Line BBQ.   They closed the one right by me a couple of months ago.

A group of us Dr. A. patients ate there with the doc and his wife a couple of years ago when they were in S.A. for a presentation ..

County Line is great, and they have little "kid's platters" which have, e.g., just a couple of ribs and some veggie ..   Or, you can order a good-sized platter and share with a bunch of others ..

I hope you have a good time while in San Antonio. It is very hot here right now but you'll still love it. The great thing about the river walk is that the restaurants have their menus placed out along the river, so you can see the prices and menu before  you enter or choose a place to sit.  All in all, San Antonio is very reasonably priced. So you should be good. Have a great time.

Marsha...In my opinion.....the BEST restaurant on the Riverwalk is Casa Rio.    Ya always want great Mexican food when you go to San Antonio.     There plates of food are about $6 to $7 at NIGHT !!!   Very reasonable and the food is fantastic !!!  Best I have had on the riverwalk.     It has it all.....the river walk right there at ya....the umbrillas right there and if your lucky...they will have the guys walking around playing their gautars and singing to you.   Just what you expect out of San Antonio.    The Flauta's are the BEST I have EVER EATEN !!! YUMMY !!!!

So many yummy choices! Oh my! Maybe we'll have lunch and dinner....LOL! You guys are great. (Of course, you are in the GREAT State of Texas!)  I'm from Dallas, born and bred. I've been in Colorado for 8 1/2 years.....But, then again, the high here yesterday was in the 70's and right now it's 60, and the mountains are beautiful. If I could just combine the two......Perfection!
Thanks Yall!

I vote for Casa Rio for the best Mexican at a cheap price - you can't go wrong !!!!!

I like Boudros for some of the best all around food, but it is a bit pricey.  I would stick with Casa Rio if I was feeding a crowd.  Expect to wait around an hour in the busy season for a table.
