Monday Monday WLS EXPRESS

GOOD MORNING! It is Monday. This weekend was fun and restful. Just wish I had another day or two off!
Okay- crazy Monday mornings.... well I've had a few. The one that came to mind though was when I was watching my nieces and I had to get everyone one up and dressed and to daycare, and 2 schools and get to work. So I was all organized-I got up early, got everything together, I was feeling pretty confident I had it all under control. Until I woke Maya up- the night before I'd given each girl their gummy vitamins in bed because I'd forgotten them earlier, and evidently Maya didn't eat hers-rather it was all goopy in her hair-big time! I had to get her in the tub and rub it all out-much to her dismay! It was funny later, but stressful at the time!
Well, I'd better get moving. Hope everyone that was in the Red Cross car feel better today and that everyone has a great day!

Well, I'm back home and i"ll be glad when Therese is back too.  Her dog can't seem to understand that I dont' want her sleeping in the crook of my legs.  I hate it when they sleep right up against you and you have to wake up and mobve them before you can turn over!  It does not make for a restful night.

Mom and dad are back from Alaska.  Therese went to the airport last night to pick them up.  Their flight got in around midnight.  They are both suffering from colds or sinus or something.  I guess travelling does that to you.  They had a blast tho, on the cruise and it was a great vacation for them! 

Well, guess I'd better get into the shower and get to work!  Have a great day everyone!  Love ya!

funny noises coming from my bathroom - like it sounds like the litter box just got flipped do I want to go look???/

ok busy morning - pay day and I have bills to pay and grocerys to buy and need to hit sams for dog food -somehow teen has it blanaced with the big 55 pound bag to last almost to the day - so on the 15th I have one maybe 2 days dog food left LOL
oh and lets not forget pick up the sitter, go to class n work out lol

prayers pls for Tim - he was hurting doing pt last week ( he is pushing HIMSELF very hard) so he went to sick call n gota referal to ortho n pain meds, I worry he will push really hard again n hurt himself - I know I can get away with that for muscle building not so sure it's a good idea for a healing inplant or pinned together bones

the messege at church tyesterday was REALLY  powerful n hit home with me - matt 18, about how much the Lord values children n Tom gave some real life examples of "neglect" that had never accured to me - things like scedauling our n kids lives so full that instead of time with our kids we became taxis n an aduance - never thought of that  he made a lot of other really good points but that was the one that stuck in my mind - all his sermons are on the websit I think I will try to listen to that one again

between him and my pcyh teacher, she was talking about how we as parents often try to remake our kids into what we want, telling them what they want and how to feel and leaving them clueless as teens and adults b/c they DON'T know what they want since we have spent years telling them what they want

so some heavy thinking on my parenting - I love my kids and really do want the best for them - so just soem thinking - spent time yesterday with K in the kitchen cooking - had him read to me and took Rach for a walk

Good morning and happy Monday.  Gotta fly,,,lots of work and more job cuts coming.  Need to spend time working.  lol

My best morning story is my niece that is 28 spent the night when she was around 5th or 6th grade and it was school picture day.  I hot rolled her hair and she said it was too poofy, so stopped and washed and re-did it after throwing what we can an "April" fit...(that's her name)...I had to leave for work and my husband had to take her to school in his jeep that the top was off of...her her was everywhere by the time she got there...I loved it after she threw her fit...her hair looked much better poofy than blown all over tarnation.

Off to work in 45 minutes until 5 pm (YUCK)...only 3 more days after today.  Went to bed and than woke up at near 11:30 and Ben and nieces and nephews weren't back from going to Saratoga to see the "Saratoga Lights" out in the middle of nowhere and couldn't get them on cell phones.  They finally showed up at near 12 am.  My niece had to go to the bathroom and made them take her into Kountze before coming back to Livingston!

Prayers to all who need them.  Viv...hope your husbands strike doesn't last long.  Danni...hang in there...hopefully each day Tim is gone will make it easier on you and the kids and you'll get more used to it.

It's Monday.....ughhhhhh.....I had such a nice weekend and really don't wanna go to work but, being the 'responsible adult' I guess I'll head to the shower!

Not much going on today.  Alissa:  I too had a 'something' stuck in the hair story for both girls - usually gum that I told them to spit out before going to bed - yuck!  Brain is numb aka not awake yet so, I'll have to come back with a real story later.

Terry, thanks for the memories.  I went on a date with Mac Davis when I was in college, (not Gordon Lightfoot as my facebook quiz suggested).  He was such a nice guy, got pics to prove it somewhere.

He used to do a show at A&M every year that I was up there - he's a great concert performer!
