****** I'm fighting the urge *******

I have found it very hard to stay away from my birthday cake I know my family meant well but triple chocolate !!!!!!!! My dad wanted me to drink a beer with him and I declined but he did not have a problem drinking it for me. My brother wanted to take me out to eat and I declined and he did not have a problem eating my portion. Today I filled the kidy pool up for my son and I road my bike up and down the street in 100 degree heat ! but I enjoyed it. When I open the fridge that cake is staring back and my wife jokes around saying they should have made you some carrot cake or an upside down pineapple cake. But I'm fighting it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep fighting.  You may not think so now, but it will be worth it in the long run.

Hang in there.  You are doing great.  Sometimes people can't understand why some of us really can't just have a little, or just have it this once.  Stay strong and think of all those things you can do with your son because you are staying away from beer and cake. 

Throw the cake out. If it's in the garbage, you won't have to resist it any longer.

put the blanky blank thing in the trash - dump the cat box on top if you have to and take it to the curb - bag it up and pour viniger over it

whatever it takes to keep you from eating it is OK,

I tell my husband and boys all the time - here is xyz (krispie kreems are a common one) enjoy them and any of them left when I get home go to the dumpster

I got the boys donuts the other day - told them fine I will get you the stupid things but you can not open them till I leave for school and they have to be gone before I get home - yongest son opened them up first thing in the morning - I took them straight to the dumpster - you do NOT have to have things that chalange you in your home -

you can be harsh or nice "honey let me take you out for your birthday we will order you a scrumptios dessert you can enjoy at the resturant"

but either way get rid of the cake - find things that don't temp you if your family must have sweets in the house -

you did good so far - keep up the good work!!!

I agree with Jen...make it your birthday wish that it be GONE and throw it away!  Sounds like your support is lacking...sabotage is what that is!  Stay strong...they may be testing you just to "see how long this will last".  You can do this and YOU will have the last laugh!!!

Thanks July.  I was just telling my daughter that we need to go to the pool.  She is so busy with church I might just have to come up there by myself!! 

I will be up there today and Friday with my group if you want to come hang out....
