Honey...I'm home!

My Sewing Sisters and I had a great few days in the piney woods. I finished a queen size quilt top and got 2 purses finished. It's so nice to be able to leave the world outside and indulge yourself! The horse and carriage ride to breakfast every morning was fun. Our cabin overlooked one of the many lakes complete wit 2 small alligators, lots of turtles and tame birds. There was 2 pair of Crdinals that would land on our balcony railing as soon as anyone started talking! We made sure none of the critters went hungry!

With the exception of a little bowl of chili and Fritos, not quite Frito Pie, I stayed on program. I see I've got alot to catch up on!

 Welcome Back Dee.....so glad that you had such a great time.   Wish ya lived closer to me.    My oldest son has a quit that feel apart it was so old ( he is 28 and had it since he was about 9 ) it was made by my deceased Aunt.   Any way when he was in the Navy he drug that quit everywhere with him ( reminds me of Linus on Charlie Brown LOL ) but the blocks on top started ripping totally apart.   So I took the original top off and cut some blocks out of different colored fabric and decided that I would make a new top for it.   Well....I have not even started it yet.   LOL  But I did salvage the original back and the trim.    It shouldn't be too difficult to do ( I hope not anyway ).   LOL  Anyway welcome back home to us !!!!

It IS a neat place!  www.artesianlakes.com/  They recently changed the name, I've always known it as Chain-O-Lakes. The Hilltop Restaurant is there also. They used to have an herb farm where you could buy not only the herb plants but all kinds of food items and lotions made with the herbs. It was almost destroyed after Ike and now they are only using it for the restaurants use. Maybe they'll open the gift shop again when the garden recovers a little more.

 Dee, I just tried to send you a PM, but whenever I click on your username I just get the IE error page ("that page cannot be found", or some such error message) ..  I tried several other times (and ways) and got the same message ..    You might ask someone else to try it and, if they get the same result, let the OH admins know so they can figure out what's wrong and fix it  ..
