I was all set to go buy a stove top grill plate today.  But the more I thought about it, I wonder if it isn't just about the same thing as my Foreman.

what do you guys think?

They pretty much are the same !! Exception is the Foreman is much easier to clean and better at drawing the fat fat away from what you are grilling!!

my 2 cents is the foreman produces less heat n my kitchen therefor it wins LOL

yes they are similar unless you are buying one that has a smooth side also and you make pancakes, french toast, grilled cheese ect for a family - I am thinking the big ones that cover 2 burners - that is the only reason I would get one - I hate duplicate stuff in my kitchen, I have too much crap as it is LOL

I will stick with my Foreman... perhaps use the money I was going to spend on some new spices... I am so in need of different menu ideas..

have a great day

mmmm spices - love cetral market - cheap cheap cheap for spices and all kinds of varirty - sprouts is good too - way less expensive than teh little jars - and hey the ziplock bags can be used to refill the little jars if you want ( I do that with things I use lots of but things I use 1 T a year of -speciela cmas cookies spice - hey those can live in the baggie)

I am with Danni on this one... It produces way less heat in the kitchen and its so easy to clean up afterwards. We use ours at minimum 4 times a week! Love the George Foreman! It's wonderful.

Ladies,

You guys have inspired me to go out and get my very own Foreman grill.  I've already researched all my Foreman options.  Great idea!

Thanks a bunch,
Lisa D Mtz.

I'm a stovetop plate person as I use my Cast Iron Grill pan not only on the top of the stove but also in the oven as a broiler pan. The foreman might be nice but usually form me quicker to light up the grill outside.

I am thinking about picking up this one myself:

Not sure, still in the thinking stage.  Also considering the George Foreman one that can cook a whole chicken.  We got that for my son for Christmas about 3 years ago and he still raves about it.
