Home is where the army allows me to live with my husband
I know what I need to do - I have to choose to take care of me or I choose to fail

WOW! Powerful mental imagery on that one!
I remember when I used to let the girls "shop" for their own lunch stuff and we designated one shelf in the pantry and one shelf in the fridge, it made school lunches and after school snacking "civilized". The rule was, I would buy enough on the weekend to last the whole week of whatever they wanted in their lunches and after school snacks.
When it was gone, it was gone so if you ate it all early in the week, you were SOL and had to scavenge around in the fridge or pantry.......didn't take them long to figure out to "portion" control what they put in their lunches and snacked on after school before I could get dinner on the table. They also made some pretty wise choices on the foods they picked for their lunches too.
