Blood Work in.....
Alright Dana and paul and all of the other vitamin gurus here....my results are spread out over 10 pages....
I am still iron deficient ...ferritin -8...normal 10-291
iron-26...normal 35-155
I take prescrip ferrous sulfate325 twice a day....just started taking vitamin C with it. (have been taking at same time as multi)
B-12 was high...997.... normal 211-911 (well at least that's good...)
LOW Vitamin D-24.8 ...normal is 32-100
then there is this :
LOW Creatinine .54...normal .57-1.00 (don't know what the heck this is??)
And then the Carbon Dioxide total- LOW-16 normal is 20-32
Just not really sure how to read the rest of these results...but things like on my cbc with diff
HIGH wbc-14.6 normal-4-10.5
HIGH RDW 18.1...normal 11.7-15.0
HIGH Neutrophils 76...normal 40-74
LOW Lymphs 13..normal 14-46
HIGH Neutrophils (absolute)-11.1 normal 1.8-7.8
HIGH Monocytes (absolute) 1.2
..now could this be because of a current UTI?
I have other results that show normal...but will include those if you want to know what they were.
THANKS for advising....

I used to work in a clinic lab years ago, but can't remember all of what you mentioned. I can tell you that your cbc/diff is probably off because of your UTI. It looks like you have an infection with your numbers being like they are.
Creatinine is a kidney function test. It might be possible for that to be off because of your UTI, but I would ask your doctor to make sure.

Hey July,
What caught my eye was your Carbon Dioxide levels 13 last month with my endo; he did ask questions like; do I hypervenilate, had I just had the stomach flu with throwing up? Then he said sometime peeps that have GBS will carry low CDL and PH levels, something to due with the CDL absorbing or not absorbing in our gut....
Anywho, ask your doctor about that; or if he has heard that was well~
Great B-12 number girl....I would give anything for my to get out of the 100 range....LOL
Love ya

July, I'm peeking and not allot of time I've been out of the office for 2 days so busy today but a couple things that stand out.
1) Yes you are anemic, my suggestion is swtich from ferrous suflate to carbonyl iron. You can get it from Vitalady if you want but I believe GNC and CVS will have some too. Vitron C is a pretty good option locally.
2) The high rdw and wbc could definitely be affected by the UTI.
Vitamin D is SUPER low which will affect your calcium absorption. Getting a dry D is a MUST July. I'm taking mega doses of 20,000 mg a DAY. You can also get dry D from GNC but the dosage is minimal, I suggest getting it from Vitalady or checking on line for other options of higher doses.

My vitamin D is 400IU How does IU relate to mgs? I am waiting to hear back from my surgeons office about the blood work. I am pissed at my docs office because he would not discuss the blood work with me unless I came in to his office. Anything for money these days and it sucks. I was just in there twice and paid a copay during the last few weeks trying to get rid of the UTI. Just a run down again of what I am taking...
2 multis
2 iron ferrous sulfate
just picked up a couple of weeks ago
citracal petites
vitamin D
vitamin C
...trying to get all my vits in a day...
so as far as I can remember...
I should take my Vit C with my iron to improve absorbtion(right?)
does it matter when I take the D?
How long after the other vitamins can I take the calcium?
Trying not to be a pest here ...hopefully asking questions others have too.
Thanks!
