everybody in this area ok

lots of sirens here and harsh winds but we have power - my fil does not (about 2 miles w of us)  looks like the power went off since I had to reset clocks

everyone else ok? Lorale? heard trophy club on the weather news but not what

MIL has no power in Highland Village.
We have two BIG trees that were split in half...think tornado went between our houses because in a direct line, at the highway, the Shell station had their sign blow down and across 35.  NOT wanting to pay $1800 ded to have trees cut.  Sheesh.
Next door neighbor had a flag pole bent in half to the ground in his front yard.

Last year when we had the huge storms come through, I lost the big tree in my front yard.  Never even heard it go down and hit the house.  I slept through the entire storm.  It was only after my neighbord came over to ask if I was okay that I learned the tree had fallen against the house.

Today I was watching the news and the wind started to pick up outside.  I took a peek outside the front window and decided it was time for the closet.  I grabbed my cell phone, laptop and hauled the dog into the closet with me.  It was kind of funny, I could hear my neighbors in the other side of the duplex get into theirs.  I sat on the floor and watched the news on my laptop.  I could barely hear the winds from there so when I emerged about 25 minutes I was a bit shocked to see that the neighbors across the street had their tree broken in half!!  It's time like these I wish I had other family with me here in Texas. 

We live in Grand Prairie.  Mary is home, the power has been out since 7PM.  Her cell phone went dead at 8:45.  I am waiting to hear from her once the power returns.

Mary just called.  3 hours and 59 minutes later, she has power.  All is fine.
