Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness. Please thank God for these men and women every day. In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

Those who are not yet unemployed, but layoffs are looming
Anne -(Lalocaweta) - Please pray for her as she undergoes treatment for a medical problem she is facing.
Dana - requests prayer for her sister, Renee. She had tumor on her jaw removed. Now needs jaw reconstruction on 7/23 - (10 hour surgery scheduled).
Debra - has been put on no work by doctor due to memory loss that is related to recent hospitalization. Also, with the no work comes less pay. Prayers for the financial side of the situation.
George - prayers for Oleta J., Brad's MIL. Health issues.
Janet (1divaatheart) says her husband doctors will be meeting to determine when they will be removing the kidney that has the tumor. Also, her mother is in a nursing home and is having problem with her Alzheimers.
Jill - pray for her daughter Heather who is taking driver's education. Pray for Jill's hubby, Paul, and Jill as they assist with the learning process.
Karen (Misty750342002) - A friend of Karen's from work (who is like a son to her), Dustin Murphy, is 24 years old and has been diagnosed with Hodgkins Disease.
SandiB - prayers for her as she has some personal concerns right now.
Vicki V. - husband Patrick has Ataxia and Neuropathy of the left side. Which basically means he has virtually no feeling in his left leg and foot. Experiencing fatigue.
Vanessa (Butterfly Reborn) - requests prayer for her family. There were no specifics, but I am sure the Lord knows.
Below are three of God's children that definitely need our prayers.
Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2. She has improved, but still needs our prayers. Pray for this brave little girl.

I'm exhausted. I got up this morning, did my job search stuff - nothing worth applying for today, paid bills, filed the Behr paint rebate (yay for $100!), did everything to roll my 401K over to my IRA, went to the post office, bank, grocery and Sonic, came home and taped and painted the upstairs bathroom walls while Michael did one of the walls of the game room and finished the stairway. We should be able to finish the upstairs except for the master bedroom tomorrow.
We're waiting on a drywall repair guy to fix our kitchen ceiling. He was supposed to come by tonight, but didn't make it. Hopefully, he'll be here tomorrow and then we can get the kitchen and family room done this weekend. I'm fine with putting the house up for sale without having the master bedroom painted as long as we get it done one of the coming weekends.
My body is so sore. I just want all the painting done so I can finally rest. Then I can hopefully focus on just keeping the house clean and interviewing. I'm getting nervous about money. Even with all of the cut backs we've made, it's probably still not enough and my unemployment hasn't started paying, yet, because of my severance.
I'm going to try to get some rest. Prayers for all who need them and I hope everyone up there is safe after the storms today.

Sheesh, quiet night. Sounds like you all had some wild weather up there. Nothing down here in the Houston area but heat! YUCK! It was a tad windy this evening, but not too terrible!
Gotta go to the dentist tomorrow. uuugh. Just the regular six month visit but I hate going. When I get back to Illinois, I'll be seeing my regular eye doc for my annual visit. Hoping nothing is going on but a bit spooked. Having a bit of trouble focusing. It's like the eyes are not clear, then they will clear up after a blink or two. My mom has glaucoma so I have to get tested for that each year. I still get way more headaches than I care to so hoping the two are not related. The focusing issue has been going on for about six months. Of course when I mentioned it to Paul and even sort of leaned towards heading back there by myself early just to have my eye doc check it out before our usual visit, he just brushed it off. Of course, they are not HIS eyes so not his problem....he'll feel bad if it IS something. It just gets annoying sometimes. Nothing painful at all. More of a nuisance. Hopefully my eyes are just getting old and nothing more.
Okay, guess I'd better think about hitting the hay....
So, it is back to looking for a temporary job until school starts in August - as my financial aid is substantially greater for this final year and I will be able to not work for another year.....
