The NIGH****CHMAN 6/9

Good evening again.  It's been a good day, even though I only got four hours of sleep.  Not much going on in my world.  Will check back later, saw a few threads I want to read later.

If you have not already updated me, please keep me current with updates of your situation if you are on the prayer list.

Reading my Bible verses today, I came across this (The Message is the version I read):

Psalm 127:1  If God doesn't guard the city,
the nigh****chman might as well nap.

Prayer requests are listed below.

Also, please feel free to just visit here.  Tell us about how your day went.  Your successes.  Your failures.  Your fun.  Whatever.  When I post this thread, I do not have access to any chat programs, so this sometimes substitute as that vessel for me.

Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness.  Please thank God for these men and women every day.  In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

PEOPLE SEEKING EMPLOYMENT:

Vicki V.
Avis
Jennifer - (Cruise Director Julie)
Nina
Lynnette
Jeri

Those who are not yet unemployed, but layoffs are looming

Anne -(Lalocaweta) - Please pray for her as she undergoes treatment for a medical problem she is facing.

Dana - requests prayer for her sister, Renee.  She had tumor on her jaw removed.  Now needs jaw reconstruction on 7/23 - (10 hour surgery scheduled).

Debra - has been put on no work by doctor due to memory loss that is related to recent hospitalization.  Also, with the no work comes less pay.  Prayers for the financial side of the situation.

George - prayers for Oleta J., Brad's MIL.  Health issues.

Janet (1divaatheart) says her husband doctors will be meeting to determine when they will be removing the kidney that has the tumor.  Also, her mother is in a nursing home and is having problem with her Alzheimers.

Jill - pray for her daughter Heather who is taking driver's education.  Pray for Jill's hubby, Paul, and Jill as they assist with the learning process.

Karen (Misty750342002) - A friend of Karen's from work (who is like a son to her), Dustin Murphy, is 24 years old and has been diagnosed with Hodgkins Disease.

SandiB - prayers for her as she has some personal concerns right now.

Vicki V.  - husband Patrick has Ataxia and Neuropathy of the left side.  Which basically means he has virtually no feeling in his left leg and foot. Experiencing fatigue.

Vanessa (Butterfly Reborn) - requests prayer for her family.  There were no specifics, but I am sure the Lord knows.

Below are three of God's children that definitely need our prayers.

Cindy Mc - a coworker has a 5 yr old son who was diagnosed at 3 with Metastatic Retinoblastoma.   I am just asking that you pray for Isaac Xavuer Vasques-Grimmett.  His cancer was too advanced for the study at St Judes. He was really weak when they got back from Memphis and he went to Childrens and they started chemo and radiation again and we are really needing a miracle here for Isaac. He is a very sick little boy and his mom told me that she was trying to prepare herself for the worst while she prayed for the best.

Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2. She has improved, but still needs our prayers.  Pray for this brave little girl.

Vanessa - We have all followed the story of Elizabeth.  Here is her Caringbridge page:

Hi George;

It's a commercial break, so I'm typing fast. Right now, it's not looking good for tonight. 2-1 Pens, but the Wings are getting ready to hit a power play, so we may be able to tie it up in the next few minutes and then we'll just need one more.

More job applications and painting today. And, I have an interview next Wednesday in Grapevine. It's with a recruiter, so not for just one specific position. Michael's out of town next week, so I'm trying to work out doggie care. My cousin's wife told me to just come up and bring the dogs with me, but I've never traveled with both of them on my own and honestly, I'm nervous to attempt it. I may get up early, early on Wednesday, drive up, interview and drive back. That way, I could get away with having a friend of mine come by once or twice during the day. If I try to come up overnight, it will be 2 nights of kenneling and I just can't take the chance spending that much money not knowing if I'll have a job.

The upstairs open area is 2 walls from being complete. It looks amazing. Then, we've got the upstairs guest bathroom (a 2 hours project), our bedroom (a 3-day, 4 hour/day project), the family room and living room (a 2 day project), and the stairway (a 4 hour project) and we're done. I'll get the upstairs guest bathroom taped tomorrow after my job apps. I should be able to get the ceiling painted and may even get a start on the walls. Depends on what Michael wants to do with the stairway. His carpal tunnel is really acting up. To the point he's wearing his braces right now.

That's all thats going here. I hope everyone is enjoying a peaceful evening. Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer

Honestly, I'm fearful that DFW can't handle both of us and that means I need to move somewhere else. It's like it would be so cool if we lived that close to each other that I'm pretty sure the universe will not allow it to happen. Make sense?

But thank you for the prayers. I'm hoping something starts looking good soon. Even though we're working on a decent contingency plan.

Blessings, Jennifer

The metroplex can surely use you up here.  If we have to put up with Liz, too, we can handle that.
