Books and you!

Okay, let's see if we can discuss this without revealing the ending.  What did you think of the way My Sister's Keeper ended?  I was so mad I couldn't even think about it for about a month.  After a while I realized that it probably couldn't have ended any other way.  But initially I was so angry.  We read it as a book club selection and it made for a GREAT discussion.

I'm not sure about Jodi Picoult.  The only other book by her that I've read is The Tenth Circle, which I didn't love.  Her writing is good, her topics are current and interesting, but I struggle with her endings.

I don't know that I "felt" any way about the ending.  I sort of saw it coming, but not really what I expected.

I absolutely love her stuff - have every one of her books.  Lately I haven't even been able to wait on paperbacks.  The Tenth Circle was my least favorite, definitely a difficult read.

The Pact - AWESOME!!!

My Sister's Keeper was recommended to me along with all of Jodi Picoult's books.  A coworker reads all she puts out.

I am not a reader but have decided I need to be.  I have become a book junkie the past few weeks but don't get through all of it before getting another.  I currently have UNread:

The Shack - reviews not good by family and church friends

Good In Bed - Jennifer Weiner

This is NOT the life I ordered

10 -10 - 10 - this is good with decision making skills

QBQ- trying to rethink how to deal with work

Flipping the Switch - followup to QBQ..

Soft Skills - well I read most of that in the book store tonight

Who Moved My cheese - read that in the bookstore
The Beck Solution - Gina recommended / Dana too

how's that for cheating? lol

I liked the Shack overall and want to read it again because I know I missed allot of it.  My emotions were EVERYWHERE with it, definitely a thinking kind of book.

I will read.. just need to find the time to spend on it.

I don't read often, but  since I find a lot of my time on airplanes due to my job I have been reading a lot more than my norm.  I just finished the Twilight Series last night.  Needless to say after the fourth book I was in such tears.  I love Stephanie Meyers books!  I started on The Host that she also has today.  But the Twilight series is awesome.  I am thinking about reading them all over again.

I have no idea how I am going to keep this short. I LOVE to read and always have!!

1) What book are you reading now? Debbie Macomber- Back on Blossom Street
2) Who is your favorite author? Depends on what mood I am in. I have been really into Janet Evanovich, Debbie Macomber, Catherine Anderson, and Nelson DeMille lately. Then there's JK Rowling, some Danielle Steel, James Patterson, {I am trying to picture my overflowing bookcase to see who I am forgetting...}
3) What book have you not read but are intimidated by? I can't think of one
4) What style of book is your favorite? I will read just about anything but Sci-Fi, Vampires...stuff like that.
5) Name three authors you would recommend, their genre and your favorite title by them.
Janet Evanovich- Anything Stephanie Plum- You will laugh your butt off
Debbie Macomber- The Blossom Street series
Catherine Anderson-Bright Eyes and Baby Love got me hooked. Now I am reading all of her others
Nelson DeMille- Night Fall got me hooked. WHAT AN ENDING!! And John Corey is the best main character!!

Ok. I am going to stop now.
