Vitamins...
To be honest I am not as good about taking them as I should be. Please share with me some suggestions to help me get better about this. I am good on my water intake and protein for the most part (usually getting more than needed). But I really do struggle with the whole vitamin (B-12, multi, calcium, iron, etc....) thing.
I appreciate any suggestions as I want to get better about this before something goes wrong because if it.

Do you have a regular morning and evening routine? What I do is once a week fill up one a pill box with my am and pm vitamins and put it right next to my computer. I'm always on my machine first thing in the am, and right before bed, so I take the pills then.
I've also set alarms on my phone for my mid day pills to remind me when and what to take. I've found that for me that's the easiest way to remember. Since I've been doing that for so long it's become part of my regular routine so it's weird for me if I don't take them.

If you work at the computer daily - .............what about setting a computer pop up through your email system (like an appt reminder) to pop up and get ya moving to those vits !!
When I get ready in the morning in my bathroom - I have my vits in a pill box.........with comb, toothbrush, etc........part of the morning getting ready for work routine !!

- Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose. Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email. I'll answer it as soon as possible.

Hey Chrissy!! I knew from the get go this was going to be hard for me!!! Here is what I did...
I ordered the vitamins and then went to walmart and got one of those pill dividers by the day! One side has AM and one side has PM.... I organize them every Saturday for the next week right when I finish my last vitamin for the day and when Sunday rolls around, I'm ready to go!! I keep the vitamins at work and RIGHT when I in I take my multi, and my acid blocker... then I wait about 2 to 3 hours, then take my calcium, then I wait again to take my Iron. So many have told me that multi conflicts with the iron and/or the calcium, so to avoid them cancelling them out, I just take them all throughout the day... The AM PM helps me to remember that I need to keep them seperate...
The little pill box is very bulky, but I only carry it with me 2 times a week!! Just from work to home to organize it for the next week! It REALLY helps me and I know between my work day 9-6 I'm taking all the vitamins I need everyday!!! Just an idea!
