HELP!!I WANT FOOD!
I understand the feeling, I desperately wanted to eat "real food" as well, to the point of actually chewing "real food" and spitting it out into the garbage can. I also ran some vegetable soup through a blender and had that so I could have some fiber in my system and that made the "real food" cravings a little easier to deal with. The desire (frenzy) for real food passed in just a couple of days for me and then the weight started to drop and it was so worth the drama. Stick with it, you are just getting started on the rest of your life!!!

Rachel,
Glad to know I am not the only person who chewed up food and spit it into the garbage. When I had my breakdown the other day, that is what I ended up doing. My husband was grilling a steak that smelled SO good. So he gave me a piece, I chewed the hell out of it, and spit. It was wonderful!!!

I understand how you are feeling. I had to keep reminding myself that I had just had major surgery. Right now you are still healing so don't over do it. I found that when I stayed busy or took a walk when I felt so hungry that it helped. I was one that was afraid to eat even when I was given the ok to try. I think everyone had given you all the advice I could. Have you been cleared for thin oatmeal or mashed potatoes yet??? Or how about refriend beans.
