Prayers/swing chickens/Calcium all in one post

Happy Saturday All!!! I have a couple of things to ask of my peeps and the first if I can get all prayer warriors out there to please say a prayer, swing chickens, roast pork, meditate what ever...My friend Kay needs prayers NOW~Thursday at work she had a headache, and by the days she passed out and she was careflighted to Baylor Dallas with a brain bleed she is in critical condition. She is our school secretary(principal's) and a sweet sweet person, and of course my good friend. She made it through the first surgery and today she has developed a fever (not so good) so If we can just remember her I would appreciate it!!!

Also, I know this has been asked several times, but I can not remember for the life of me if we can or not.....I take Citracal petites and here lately I can not swollow them real well (the thyroid thing is blocking some swollowing for me) can I crush them and put them in applesauce or protein drink??? I can not find anywhere on my bottles where it says NOT to crush....I just want to make sure I do this right...LOL

I thought I would be online more during the summer but with the above situation I will be working M-Th 7:30-5:00 I go into trainning Monday for Ms. Kay's position....ugh I hate it, I know I can do it, but it is just better sweet....
I will be online most fridays though...LOL

(((Mel))) sorry to hear about your friend Kay, do they have any idea what caused the bleed? Will definitely keep her in prayer.

Yes you can crush the calcium. You may want to look into Upcal D or Bariatric Advantage Calcium Crystals that are both disolvable in water if the crushed calcium is too nasty, or I think BA has the new chewable ones now.

Thank you Dana, Kay got a real painful headache all of a sudden...turned white, sweating, making no sence of words, but could tell you the day, where she was at, and then would pass out....about 45 minutes was wasted because she did not want to go with the EMTs....finally we had a plan to take her home; like she wanted to do, and an EMT friend was going to stay with her; as they (EMTs) started to stand her up; she got sick and went out completely...

When I was at Wally world getting my calcuim...I kept saying, I just need to or BA and be done with it...LOL too funny that is what you suggest....I guess that will be next month....
I did purchase the new Gummy Adult Vitamins....much better on my tummy...LOL

Thank you Lynnette, Kay is such a sweet lady, we have been each others right hands for 5 years at work, and then of course friends outside of work. She is like a Mother figure to me; always making sure I take care of myself...

Mel.....prayers going out for your friend Kay right now. Please keep us updated on her situation. Praying that God will touch her body now and heal her and give her friends and family peace of mind that she will be OK !!!

When I saw her yesterday; she looked at peace...I was able to hold her hand and talk to her; I'm a firm believer that peeps in comas can hear us, I have some memory of hearing people....Kay is very strong in her faith and I know God will do what is right for her.
I will keep you all updated, as I get news

Thanks Mel....I too believe that you can hear when you are in comas. My mother said when she was in the hospital and gave birth to me that she was in a coma due to toximea poisioning. She said she heard everyone that was there and knew who they were just wasn't able to respond. Tell everyone to watch what they say around her and only be very positive. If she thought she was going to die....she might not fight to live.

Prayers being said for Kay. never hesitate to ask for prayers for someone in need!

Look at the packaging for the fcalcium and make sure it is calcium citrate not carbonate. If you have trouble with pills, the Bariatric Advantage passionfruit chewables are really quite tasty! Many people like their dissolve in water crystals (not my favorite).

LOL Meggie, I did that last month on my calcium...I got sooo excited that I found a chewable (Caltrate) that when I got home opened it and took two of them, then read the bottle I thought I was going to cry...it was the wrong kind; I did finish the bottle, and just upped the dose...but this time I made sure I had Citrate with vit D...LOL
I think next month I will purchase the BA chewables, Chewables just work better on my pouch these days, plus they are easier for me to swallow..
