Good evening.  It has been a nice weekend.  Did not do much.  Just relaxed and watched some baseball.  Back to work tonight.

Prayer requests are listed below.

I do ask that you keep me updated on requests.  Often.  Please.

Also, please feel free to just visit here.  Tell us about how your day went.  Your successes.  Your failures.  Your fun.  Whatever.  When I post this thread, I do not have access to any chat programs, so this sometimes substitute as that vessel for me.

Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness.  Please thank God for these men and women every day.  In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

PEOPLE SEEKING EMPLOYMENT:

Avis
James - Phyllis' "friend"
Jennifer - (Cruise Director Julie)
Nina
Lynnette
Jeri

Those who are not yet unemployed, but layoffs are looming

Anne -(Lalocaweta) - Please pray for her as she undergoes treatment for a medical problem she is facing.

Dana - requests prayer for her sister, Renee.  She had tumor on her jaw removed.  Now needs jaw reconstruction on 7/23 - (10 hour surgery scheduled).

Debra - has been put on no work by doctor due to memory loss that is related to recent hospitalization.  Also, with the no work comes less pay.  Prayers for the financial side of the situation.

George - prayers for Oleta J., Brad's MIL.  Health issues.

Janet (1divaatheart) says her husband's tumor is shrinking (Praise God!).  Pray for her family as they deal with the passing of her father (5/17).

Karen (Misty750342002) - A friend of Karen's from work (who is like a son to her), Dustin Murphy, is 24 years old and has been diagnosed with Hodgkins Disease.

Prplecat asks prayer for her health battles as well as the family's move to Wichita Falls.

SandiB - prayers for something going on in her life.

Vicki V.  - husband Patrick continues to have health problems.  Update on Patrick.  His most recent diagnosis from the neurologist is Ataxia and Neuropathy of the left side.  Which basically means he has virtually no feeling in his left leg and foot - probably the results of both a broken femur (more than 30 years ago) and his more recent heart and lung surgeries and the bed confinement from all of those.

Vanessa (Butterfly Reborn) - requests prayer for her family.  There were no specifics, but I am sure the Lord knows.

Below are three of God's children that definitely need our prayers.

Cindy Mc - a coworker has a 5 yr old son who was diagnosed at 3 with Metastatic Retinoblastoma.   I am just asking that you pray for Isaac Xavuer Vasques-Grimmett.  His cancer was too advanced for the study at St Judes. He was really weak when they got back from Memphis and he went to Childrens and they started chemo and radiation again and we are really needing a miracle here for Isaac. He is a very sick little boy and his mom told me that she was trying to prepare herself for the worst while she prayed for the best.

Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2. She has improved, but still needs our prayers.  Pray for this brave little girl.

Vanessa - We have all followed the story of Elizabeth.  Here is her Caringbridge page:

Let me know if there is anything I can do for you besides pray.  The worst I can say is no.  LOL.  Let me know what happens.  I hope the Lord wants it to work the same way you do.

I"ve done really well -  I had a few cheetos with the brisket on Saturday with lunch and then on the drive home.................dinner/supper on Saturday night was a chopped ham sandwich from a little convenient store around the corner from the hotel..............I had a small handful to put in the sandwich (nothing like  a good CRUNCHY sandwich and then I folded up the bag - gave it to James and ORDERED him NOT to let me have any more.........................I DID IT......  IT FEELS GOOD TO SAY NO TO STUFF THAT I SHOULDN'T HAVE !!   whoo hoo

Now that I'm getting caught up on my sleep again (got anew cpap machine) - i'm getting much better rest and I think I'm making better choices and not eating as much as I was - so maybe the mindless eating was because I was tired and just didn't know what else to do?????????????

Hi George;

Glad you had a relaxing weekend.

Yesterday, we tubed the river with Sara's neighbor and one of her friends and then in the evening we went to Lisa's birthday party. The plan was dinner and then piano bar. My salad at dinner made me dump like I haven't dumped in at least 2 years, so we ended up coming home instead of going on to the piano bar. I finally started feeling better around midnight. At least because of getting sick, I was able to catch the third period of the Wings game. Wow! What a game!

Today we did an early morning Home Depot run for more blue tape and a few other supplies we needed. When we got home, we painted the hallways and got a big chunk of the stairway knocked out. Then, we got cleaned up, grocery shopped and picked up dog food for the dogs.

This week, we'll be painting every night except Tuesday and Friday. Tuesday is hopefully the last game of the Red Wings season and Friday we're meeting Jeri for an early dinner and then going to the motorcycle parade at on Congress Street that's part of the Republic of Texas Rally.

I hope everyone is well. Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer
