He wasn't my surgeon but you gotta wonder why he can't keep a clinic or practice at any of the hospitals any longer.

Be careful, I got majorly flamed the last time I spoke ill of Dr Rod (even though I had good reason). But you do ask good questions--what is this the 4th or 5th clinic in 5yrs?!?!

Don't intend to get flamed.  He has a loyal following.   I just don't know why he keeps moving around.

Anyone that's had him seems to like him so I guess he's a good surgeon.

I hate to see anyone lose their surgeon.  It's really hard to find anyone to take a bariatric patient referral from another doctor.

Here is the article the journal ran here.  http://cincinnati.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/stories/2009/06 /01/daily71.html?surround=etf

IF you don't mind my asking, what wasyour good reason for speaking ill of Dr. Rod...?  I won't flame you, I just am curious..other people have made similar comments but never elaborate?

Certainly wasn't speaking ill of Dr. Rod. He wasn't my surgereon and a lot here had him.  I presume that he did them a good job and he had a loyal following.  I was just wondering why he was leaving your area when he seemed to have left our area going to different hospitals and just didn't know why.

That's not speaking ill, just a general question.

Was Dr. Rod your surgeon?  What was your good reason (just curious) and what does exactly "majorly flamed" mean??

Truthfully, it wasn't his fault, the hospital is losing so much money they are cutting jobs and programs left and right....he is wonderful.  He has never been anything but up front and compassionate for me.  I can't bear the thought of having to see another surgeon....I know he has a very loyal following...the hospital actually closed the discussion board because they don't want us to talk to each other...it's ridiculous!

Dr. Rod was my original surgeon and I so missed him when he was gone, BUT you do have to wonder why he keeps closing offices.  I really didn't get much of an answer when he close his office at Methodist and then he opened an office at Renaissance but that didn't stay open long...

humm not sure what is going on but I think they is more then we know for sure

Many Blessings

I DO know what went on at both those hospitals and my own here...it's not exactly what you think....he is such a wonderful surgeon and a great person, he served our country faithfully in the cold war...this stupid hospital is floundering and looking for an easy way to cut things to stay in the black...it's them, not him....in Texas,  it was a little different story , but totally unrelated to his patient care, and his compassion for people suffering from the disease obesity....please flood his message board, or contact others who support him to do so...
