Reminder: July BBQ

I know it's EARLY but...The 2nd annual July BBQ will be held July 11th at my house in Rowlett (NE of Dallas). It will be an all day shindig with swimming, eating and general lazing around. It is for ADULTS ONLY so please line up your babysitters early. I promised my hubby that this year I would limit the number to around 50-60 people...so it will be by invitation only. Please use this thread (or PM me) to let me know if you would like to come and how many of you would be coming. If I know you, consider an invitation a done deal. It's just last year we had about 30 newbies/people I didn't know personally that RSVP'd but didn't show up so it was very costly in terms of wasted food, etc. So if I don't know you personally, please let me know if you'd like to come and we will see how many open spots we have closer to time. Unfortunately, my poor house can only hold so many. We will provide the meat, drinks, plates, silverware, etc. Everyone else will be asked to bring a side dish or dessert. If you are traveling from out of town and would rather contribute $ to help defray the cost of the meat, etc a $5 donation per couple would be perfect. Once again I will be looking for anyone that has a canopy or big umbrella that could bring them to help provide some shade as it will be July in Texas!! Also each person should bring lawn chairs if possible. Just wanted to get the info out so people could start requesting that time off from work. Also you out of towners, start begging for a place to stay. I've got Terry T and Becky at my house, yippie!!! Invitation list so far contains the following:

Steph, I'm going to have to cancel :(. My sister is having surgery at MD Anderson less than 2 weeks after and I'll have to miss work plus the expenses of a baby sitter and traveling to Houston.

I'm sorry I was looking forward to seeing everyone. I am registered for the OH Convention in Sept. bearing any family matters that would cause me to be unable to attend I am looking forward to spending time with everyone.
