Thursday WLS Express

Good morning.  I bet Chris is glad school is out.  Today's our last day of school.   The kids get out at 11:00.  Ben and his dad are hauling off some junk today and taking it to the dump and moving my husbands trailer that has been sitting next to our house for several months.  It looks like the Clampetts live here!

Ben has graduation practice today at noon and should be home by 5:00 from it.

Prayers to Liz on the job and all others who need our prayers.

Good morning all!! Just rolled in. I worked 8pm-4:30am. My pt died at 12:30am, but his body didn't get picked up until 4:30, and , of course, you never leave until the person does, so I got paid to bodysit. I'd MUCH rather be busy. He lived in a nursing home and his roommate was getting a bit amorous with me before I left. He said "You'll be so lonely now that your husband is dead", and patted for me to come crawl in his pissy little bed with him...gotta love it!!!

My baby, Chris will be a SENIOR by the time this school day is over. After I sleep a little I'll download and post the prom pics I got back yesterday.

My fave non-Biblical quote of all time is the one about "If you always DO what you always DID, then you'll always GET what you always GOT"...How people keep doing the same crap over and over and then expect different results...just boggles the mind...

Okay...gonna go catch a Z or 2..

Work just called. I had decided NOT to work anymore until Sunday night, at the earliest...well...now I'm working tonight at the home of a 5 MONTH old, so the parents can get one night of sleep. Can you imagine having your 5 MONTH old baby on Hospice??? May I never ***** about sore feet, teenagers or any of my various and sundry complaints again. I will gladly drive to Springtown for these people I have never met...My owners said they would only send ME..they are probably lying..probably no other sucker would go...but how in the world could I say no?

Going back to bed now...

LIZ..isn't it, though? I don't have any details about diagnosis, etc..just that he's on hospice...so THAT tells me he has to have a terminal illness...they PROMISED me I'm there for "caregiver relief"...not the "end of life" stuff I'm usually there for...here's hoping...I've done pedi, but that's SHERRY's thing, not mine

Wow- how sad for that family and what an incredible blessing you'll be to them tonight. I know you're going to take great care of that baby so the parents can easily rest and gain more strength to face another day.
