I know these things have been discussed until the cows come home yelling "Eat mor beef!" but I have a question.

Anyone experience heartburn after drinking one?

Why would it cause it?

If I had to guess I'm thinking Chris drank his too quickly.  He said it tasted great.  I got it at WalMart for him to try(under $2), because he has such morning trouble...even with protein shakes.  He said the bullet went right down but the heartburn came on fast.  Tums fixed that but still...there's gotta be an answer for it.
I told him he might mix it with water?

He liked it and it has 26g of protein in it and he could get it down...OF COURSE there has to be a problem with it huh?

Kris,

I also get heartburn from drinking these.  I suspect it is because it is so concentrated.  I can do other protein drinks without heartburn.  In fact, the only time I've had heartburn since surgery is after drinking these.

I have better luck diluting them with water and drinking over ice - I have a hard time tolerating them unless they're EXTREMELY cold.  Takes a little longer, but I figure I need the hydration anyway.

Interesting, I never thought that it might be the protein bullets but it makes sense. I only had them in the hospital and I had heartburn my first night home. Of course i started taking prilosec but today I have only taken one instead of 2. I was going to see how I did tonight.

Lost 120 lbs-gained 50lbs back
Sleeved 6/2/09-Lost 20lbs gained it back after hysterectomy on 1/15/10

As of 11/7/2015 I have gained all my weight plus some. I weigh 313lbs. I blame it on steroid injections I received for my back, the cymbalta i am on for fibromyalgia, I was on Lyrica for 3 months and gained 30lbs, and I found out I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis as well as Pcos. I had back surgery and had to lay flat for three months which didn't help either only to find out a year later the surgery was a failure. I now have a spinal cord injury and I am in a wheelchair! So much has happened since I last visited this site. The only thing I can do is swim. I am going to try and do this at least 2 times a week and work up to more!
