Prayers for me, please

I don't want any beatings, and I know that I'll get them and I probably deserve them.......
but don't beat me up too badly - cuz I'm doing that to myself.................

I have been really NOT eating too well for the past several months......I'm on track 1 day and off for the next........up and down, up and down.....................for the most part - staying on track, but I"m experimenting way too much and

I DON'T WANT TO GAIN ANY OF THIS WEIGHT BACK AND THE WAY I'M GOING - I WILL BE AND SOON..................

I don't know what is going on with me, but I've tried to analyze it and the only thing I can come up with - is just not a good excuse..............................

so - all I'm asking is:   THAT YOU ALL PRAY AND LIFT ME UP........PRAY THAT THE DEMONS WHERE EVER THEY ARE LURKING THAT I JUST TOTALLY GET OVER WHATEVER IT IS THAT HAS TAKEN OVER MY THOUGHTS AND DECISIONS....................

So  I"ve decided to get a stationary bike from Walmart (now I gotta find someone that can help me with a pickup to get it to the house and then to put it together for me)   My goal is to bike 30 min each evening and 30 min before work every morning...................and get a jump start back onto my weight loss journey..................THIS IS MY LIFE AND I NEED TO KEEP IT UP AND I'M PROUD TO SAY THAT I'M A WLS PATIENT !!   ((((((((((((((Huggsss))))))))))))))))))
  • Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose.  Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email.  I'll answer it as soon as possible.

Phyllis,

No beatings, just a big hug! All of us that are further out go thru the same thing. Be proud of what you have accomplished so far. Your smart to stop........take a moment and get back on track. I know for myself I can not have ANY chips or crackers in the house because I have no will power I will eat them. Purge your house and if how ever lives with you needs those things they can buy them and keep them in their room. Your a strong smart woman. I have faith in you!

Your loved!

Girl.. you will not get a beating here. Heaven forbid if we find out you are human and you will have some slip ups...WOW None of us have ever done that for more than a week. or two week or 30 days.. You can get back on track. You will be just fine. We will say a prayer for you.  We will hug you. Good for you on the bike. You have to do what works for you. Good for you for getting a handle on it now before it went on for months and months. You have reckognized the problem and you are a strong enough woman to get a handle on it. (You can do anything because you have raised a DAUGHTER)....

Hugs to you.

Smile, it increases your face value.

Hey Phyllis, no bashing from me...we all know I've been there.  So big hugs and just one suggestion...

Exercising twice a day, everyday, is not a realistic goal.  When I set goals like that for myself, I quickly fail to acheive them and then give up because I'm a failure...or at least feel like I'm constantly trying to get back on track from the repeated failures.  That kind of thinking just perpetuates the roller coaster for me.  Instead try a very small attainable goal...."I'm going to ride my bike 30 min on Thursday evening".  Once you acheive that goal set a new one.  Anything you do will be more than you have been doing, and before you know it you'll be totally back into your groove. And never plan to exercise more than six days a week....we all need a day of rest.  God makes rules for a reason. :-)

not saying eating things you know better than is good but are you gaining? or maintianing?

I had to make the choice of maintaining where I am - not to hard physically but a major emotional hurdle or to invest the emotional energy and effort into losing more - I am maintiaining -

think on this - can you stay where you are if you eat like you are? are you ok where you are

ok now I will be the one to get bashed but hopefully gave you something to think on
hugs

Now Phyllis....where did I put my whip???   LOL   Just kidding....hey girl...no one said that this was a easy journey to take errrrrr that is anyone who has had WLS.    People all the time say we took the EASY way out.   LOL   No such luck on that one.    We have to have food in order to live.    What I am trying to say is...everyone past the honeymoon stage will probably relate to what you have said.    I certainly can....at least you have realized what is happening and going to do something about it NOW !!!!   We love ya....you have my number if you need me...call !!!!!   I am here for you if you need to talk.   Trust me...I truely understand.   I am with everyone else....get the chips and junk out of the house.    It will make getting back on track much easier !!!   Love ya girl and trust me...you CAN DO IT !!!!!   I will pray that GOD will give you the strength that you need.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Phyllis ..  FYI, most Walmarts have guys now that will assemble WM merchandise for you at your home for a modest fee (and I imagine they would even deliver it for you, too) ..     Just ask someone in the know that works at your local WM ...   The ones I've seen usually put ads/fliers up on the bulletin board in the entrance lobby area of the WM ..

Good luck and hang in there!

PHYLLIS-we're all in this together. I especially agree with LORALEA, LYNNETTE and DANNI. Don't set yourself up for more "failure"...Be kind to yourself right now-look at where you ARE vs where you WERE. and just stop and take a little breather, if you need to do--but don't go backwards (trust ME on this one!!)

Since the RYD I've been doing kinda what Austin Davis suggested. I have a spiral notebook and I'm writing down SIMPLE goals every day...food...water..vitamins...exercise...when I get them done I get a sticker..just like in first grade....PRINCESS stickers...Hey...whatever works!!!

Mostly, keep communicating cuz you KNOW you're not the only one struggling!!!
