Well, let me say thanks again to everyone that suggested Dr W.  I had my appointment today with him.  He was very knowledgable, he went over my lab results I took with me from years past, we talked about how I was doing, health issues and such. Then he sent me across the hall to give what I think was most of the blood I had in my body (seriously it was alot).  He said I had been doing ok since I had not had a surgeon (Wongsa retired) and trying to manage on my own and ran a lot of other test on Vit and Such.  I have a follow up in two weeks to discuss the results and see were to go from there.  I am hoping he will suggest a good vitamin and something so I am not so tired all the time.

Does anyone know what Vit's he sugest for RNY.  I know he mentioned Bariatric Advantage but said we would discuss once he go my results and could see where I was at with things.

Anyways it went great, thanks again.

He's great!

The only vitamin he suggested for me, based on my labs, was to add D3. Other than that, I was fine. He likes chewable vitamins and meds as capsules or pills don't dissolve all the way for us.

I go to Dr. W and I take the BA multi vit high in A, D, E & K.  I take 3 in the morning with my B12 and an added B complex.  My labs are great.  I go in for my 1 year in July.  Good luck with everything and hope to see you on Thursday!!

I just started taking the Bariatric Advantage ones and they are very easy to take.  Now, I'm NOT a chewable vitamin kinda gal, so I do the capsules.  There are six to have to take a day, but I don't care, I'd MUCH rather take those than any chewable.  Blech!  I also take the B.A. Vitamin D as Dr. Garth says a lot of deficiencies are associated with the D/Calcium stuff.  As far as calcium goes, I use the chews that BA has.  I really like those chocolate ones.  Like a chewy brownie-kinda thing.  Flintstones might have been ok early on, but not now.  Yes, they are a bit more expensive than others, but I figure I'm worth it so it doesn't matter!

Do you put it in something or chew on the pieces?  I just can't stand that gritty taste that chewables usually have!

I just crush them and throw em in my mouth.  They get pretty crushed and I just have to chew a couple little pieces.  They are not bad at all.  Have you tried the BA chewables??  If you haven't and you are coming tomorrow night, I can bring some for you to try.  Also, sometimes, on the weekends, I will crush them with my fiber and put it all in my yogurt.
