Okay, sorry to bother y'all with this...

I don't have insurance so I can't go to the doctor about it...I'm about 16 months post op and have had diarrhea since Saturday morning. I'm afraid to take immodium because it usually stops me up. But I'm wondering if this is something to worry about?
Any suggestions?

Help.
Thanks,
Jessica

There are several bugs going around - my grandson was sick for 8 days with it. Just keep pushing the fluids and eating bland - if other symptoms arrise, you should try a clinic or something - becareful now to get dehydrated. Take care  Gaye

Maybe try Pepto.  If you've done that or if it doesn't work, then I'd go ahead with the Imodium, just one dose at a time.  But stay hydrated.

Thanks Annette, I will have to find the pepto...gotta love when you misplace things around the house.

Appreciate the help.

So Sorry Jessica! Keep doing the fluids. Maybe you can try 1/2 of an immodium? Hope you are better soon!

I was going to suggest the same thing. My DH has the same problem taking a whole Immodium but 1/2 does the trick for him.

You could do the brat diet that they tell you for little kids.  Start with bananas for a day, add brown rice the next, add applesauce the next and then toast on the last day.  It worked like a charm with my kids along with Pedialyte. :)

Hope you feel better real soon!
