My goal:   I'd just like to "get back on track"   STAY ON TRACK !!
Get off of this 200 lb mark.................I just really bummed out about NOT getting closer and closer to MY goal weight of 150......................... I've more or less maintained for  several several months  - like since August and and I need to do something about that.

I just need to really re-focus...................WLS is my life now and I'm proud of that.............I share about it every chance I get and I am NOT ashamed of that ..............as a matter of fact - I'm PROUD to say that I've done what I needed to do to get more healthier.................

I'm looking at the stationary Golds Gym Bike at WAlmart for about $250 and I think that I'm gonna bite the bullet - put it in my bedroom in front of the TV and do it faithfully for at least 30 min each evening and maybe more or so as I get used to it and build up my resistance !!

Time to get going............................HAVE A GREAT DAY AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU THIS MONTH
  • Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose.  Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email.  I'll answer it as soon as possible.
  • Total Lost:  139 lbs
  • Current Weight:  263
  • As of 11-10-13 I have had weight gain.  Not happy about that.
  • RNY: 10-16-07 = 338:  Highest weight: 350+  Lowest Weight: 199

I just want to encourage you to get that bike.  I have a recumbent bike that I ride for 30 minutes a day, six days a week, and I feel it has helped me a lot.  One of the things I love about it is that it has the backrest and doesn't hurt my back like a regular exercise bike might.  I also love that I can watch TV while I ride it and I can do it in my pajamas -- no need to dress any particular way and no need to go anywhere.  In short -- there is NO excuse for me not to do it.  And I feel like a million bucks every time I do.

Until four months ago, I was dedicated to the proposition that exercise was awful and I never wanted to do it.  If a bike like that can get ME off of MY a$$, it can do that for anyone.

Ok, I've set three realistic, achievable goals for June.  I'm putting them here, and I've also written them on a sticky note that will hang on my office wall next to my monitor so I see them every day.

1. Stay at or under 1800 cals per day.
2. Workout 3 times each week
3. Spend 15-30 min each day reading the Bible or Bible studies

I've put my workouts in my calendar starting today.  I've logged my planned food intake through my pm snack already.  Heading off to do my reading before I leave for work.

I would like to carve off another 5 pounds this month, so that would put me at 154.8 - just under 155.

I won't be posting much the first half as I will be getting ready to go on vacation and then be gone w/o a scale for 10 day - OMG!

Last year I gained 30 pounds (we moved overseas and I felt pretty isolated nd lapsed into really, really bad habits).

May 2009 I managed to lose 8 pounds!

So I will use Jumpstart June to continue this success and work on losing 6 pounds this month.
I'm really hoping to take off all the weight I gained by the end of September.  I am dealing with a possible torn rotator cuff, though, so my workouts will be limited to walking, which is fine becuse that really is my favorite physical activity.

Plan for the month--
Work with my doctor on getting my bloodwork looked at and correct any deficiencies.

Walking when it isn't raining (its doing that a lot here in Japan).

Continue to keep my portions smaller than what I have been doing.

Participate more with online support groups (like OH) to help stay focused.

sidenote I'm starting to post here in the Texas forum since we're currently building a house in Schertz, TX and I'll be flying back for a few months after closing.  We'll be returning for good in June 2011 and my husband retires from the Navy the following year. :)
