My doc warned us that it can happen at anytime, although early out is the most common.

Mari (or should I call you roomie, lol), my friend just had one and she's 8 YEARS out from surgery.  Now I've never heard of that before but she had her EGD at my hospital and I saw her xrays that proved she had a very tiny opening with a mushroom stuck in it so I KNOW it's true.

OMG I am so excited that I am finally going to get to meet you, much less be roomies!!!! YAY!!!!  I am so durned excited about coming for Conference that I can hardly stand it!!!  I have had some problems with things causing problems and have been scared to death of having a stricture or something like that being so far away from my surgeon!!!  I know that there are several surgeons her in Huntsville that do RNY but don't know if they will touch me since they didn't to my surgery, ya know???  Definitely a question for Dr Davis when I see him in July!!

I am soooo glad you are going to be there Ms Mari!! You are so much fun!!

You guys have NO idea how much I miss being there and not being able to connect easily -- I know it's easy thru OH but it's not the same.  I am coming---come hell or high water!!!!!

See if he will write you a "referral" to Edward Facundus.  Not real great bedside manner but super surgeon and easy on the eyes - LOL

Yep - one of my RNY friends at work just had a stricture opened up and she is 6 years out.  Had to do it twice.  She never had one before, either.
