May Motivation Sunday
Well...here we are at the end of May.
I've semi-accomplished most of my goals:
exercise 3 days per week...didn't always do this
lose 5 lbs....went down 3...was 5 at times...bloated tummy rt. now...I'll take 3!
I did post everyday, so that's a good thing...I was being accountable, good or bad.
Tomorrow starts Jumpstart June. Get ready to jump in!

I started and ended at the exact same weight so for me that's great. I didn't exercise not one single time so I guess that gym membership is just wasting away. I've once again done terrible on the diet cokes-I drink them daily. (I DID have lemonade ONCE if that counts).
So for June what are my goals? I know as always one will be to stick to my 5 lb maintanence range. I also want to REALLY work on portion control. I find that I'm eating TOO big of portions and I feel it afterward. Unfortunately my "stop" signal which is hiccups, comes too late. It usually occurs about 15 minutes after I'm done. So I'm going to work on smaller portions knowing I can eat more if needed later. I also need to work on cutting back on the type and frequency of snacks. I find that I'm grazing too much. So with that said...I guess I'm ready for June, BRING IT ON!!!

I'm still 2lbs under goal today. At least that's what the scale said? I need to start logging my food again, cause I don't think I got in enough calories. I'm wondering if it is the new medicine I'm on? I've never taken it before. Just wasn't hungry. Went to IKEA and I had the child's portion meatballs and mashed potatoes. For dinner had 1/2 hamburger patty and a slice of watermelon. Today going to a cookout at Chad's goal is 1,000 calories.
Breakfast-Raisin bran
Lunch-hamburger patty and baked beans
Dinner-?
Still don't like the whole swimsuit thing and jiggly thighs, but what's a girl to do???
So June, 2 of these week's I'll be on vacation and I typically lose weight on vacation - so active with swimming, snorkeling and walking. We'll see if this year holds true to the format. No 'structrued' workouts for two of those weeks, but I'll get plenty of exercise.
As for goals, would like to lose my last 7 lbs and hit my goal weight, but I'll be happy to lose 5 this month. Weight loss is slow, but still steady and I've stopped losing the last week. Seems to be a pattern I can identify now - my body is shrinking the suddenly lose skin. Will take up to two weeks and then WHAM, I'll lose another 3-5 lbs in one week. Weird, but it works.
Since I'm not quite to goal yet, my June goals include watching portion sizes, eating good foods, staying away from snacking stuff and working out. All combined, should lead to a 5 lb. loss for the month.
Won't be seeing much of me for a few weeks with my daughter's graduation next weekend and then vacation for two weeks. Will have a new avatar to post when I get back.

Meggie, I bought my first 2 piece EVER but mine is a tankini top with bikini bottoms. The other day I put on a black bra with the bikini bottoms and laid out by the pool. I figured if any nosy neighbors were looking over the fence they wouldn't know it wasn't a bikini top.

Goal for june is to focus on protein, learn to deal with the emotional eating and snacking and reincorporate some kind of exercise somehow. there are no plans for ME this month as far as travel so it will be a good time to really really focus on me and this fun thing called a meal plan.
Let's get it going.
