hey gang!!

almost 2 weeks out and I haven't checked my weight, From what I've seen on the boards, it slows down about 2 weeks out so my body can get used to this!!!

I'm doing good. I have had sf jello, pudding, and mashed potatoes. I also ate some mac and cheese... I know the noodles might not be the BEST thing to eat, but when I get them soft I can handle them, so I figured for now, I'm going for it. Next week will be another hard week of soft/pureed foods, and then the following week, I can start trying harder stuff like chicken and beef!!

My insicions are itchy!! I am so happy they are healing well!!!

The only problem I have is still getting protein... I'm stuck at getting only 40 grams everyday... I got some protein bullets and am going to start them tomorrow and see how it works!!

Also, I have the problem of just not feeling very hungry... nothing sounds good to me... my roomie even ate whataburger, which used to be a fav. and I almost gagged at the smell of it!! Weird!! BUT GOOD!!

Love you all!!
BYE!

Good for you Stacey!  Keep it up.

As far as the protein...girl don't make me come over there!  lol  jk  But, seriously protein is manadatory for your health and well being.  Do not skip.  Get those bullets down or drink shakes.  You do what you have to do to get the minimum recommended protein.  If you're having trouble getting it down, you'll have to walk away from the mac-n-cheese and fill up with protein instead.  This is about making choices and using your tool.  You'll get much more of the benefit from the tool when you follow the directions.  I'm sorry I don't mean to sound harsh, but I realize it's coming across that way.  It's just that your health is a serious business and I don't want to see you fatigued from a lack of protein.  Please work on it.

Stacey, I definitely recommend you find some shake you can get in.  The protein is important for healing and to sustain your body.  You'll find your totally exhausted if you are "feeding" yourself.

In saying that, it is tough initially to get in enough, you just have keep working at it and it sounds like you are.  Congrats on not wanting the Whataburger......isn't that great!

the protein bullets will help alot.  I also liked the Adkins Advantage shakes at first.  They were easy to drink and have 15-20 g of protein.  they are a little more expensive but for the next couple of weeks until you can get more protein from your food you should try them.

I am so proud of you.  you have such a good attitude.  Keep up the good work.  Dont' be afraid to get on those scales every once in a while.  It was what kept me motivated.  Yeah you get down when it stops moving but I always knew to measure myself when the scales stopped moving.

I'm here if you need me.
