Good Morning OH Family!

Layla bug and I are up watching our toons. I kept her last night so Summer could rest. We had such a wonderful weekend! Saturday Rick and I went to IKEA and Sprouts in Frisco just the two of us. Sunday went to church Chad and his family joined us and than we went over their house for a cookout. DIL and I went shopping and had a really nice afternoon. I can tell a huge difference taking the Cymbalta I guess I did not realize I needed it. I'm starting to find my joy again. Well better run Layla wants to go outside and I've got to get busy sending out resume' and getting serious about looking for a job. Time to get back into the "real" world. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Your loved!

Good Morning TMB!!

Sorry I've been MIA for a while.  I get busy in the mornings playing on Facebook and "forget" to head over to the TMB as so many ppl from here are also there.  BAD ME.  Sorry!!!!!  Forgive?  :)

Nothing much going on with me other than the usual.  Busy as always with the kids.  School is out on June 18 and we are swamped with end of the year stuff for everyone.  Kids have been taking SOLs for the past few weeks. (That's the VA version of the TAKS test.)  3 of them are finished.  1 of them is testing this week.  Can't wait till it's all over.

Planning to go to "Glory in the Gardens" at Busch Gardens over the next few Sundays.  They have Contemporary Christian musicians there performing each Sunday afternoon/evening.  Only costs park admission to see them...and since we are buying season passes, it will work for us!  This coming Sunday is Mercy Me, next Sunday it's Third Day, following Sunday is News Boys (I'll miss that one - taking kids to meet Grandparents) and the last Sunday of the Month is Mandisa (spelling???)  There will be other artists on those days also, but these are the ones I most want to see.  :)  Can't wait!!!  :)

Kids are all doing okay.  Hubby is continuing to have problems with his back.  I'm holding steady at 145.  UGH....  Really need to drop 10 pounds....and am working on it.  Seems I drop 2-3, eat something salty, and "gain" it right back.  I know it's jus****er, but STILL!!!  LOL  I know what I need to do, it's just the doing it.  No excuses....  Just letting you know where my head is currently...and it's not a good place.  Things are still not good with my Mom.  Haven't spoken with her since the first Sunday in MAY.  I've never gone this long without talking to her.  Really bugging me...and I am turning to food.  Not a good thing and I am trying to fight it.  When I give in, I'm trying to make at least halfway decent choices.  So, at this point, the fact that I'm holding steady with my weight is a win for me.  Normally (pre WLS) I would've gained at least 10 pounds by now.  Anyway....  Enough of that!!

Love to all.
MAKE GOOD CHOICES!!

Good Morning TMB!

My brother came over to visit on Sunday and as I was showing him our vegetable garden he asked me how it felt to lose that much weight as far as getting around, climbing, etc. I told him FANTASTIC! -  I cannot even lift as much weight as I have lost (almost 90 pounds). He said he was carrying 40 pounds up the stairs the other day and struggling and thought about me.

I thought that was so sweet. My brother is 2 years older than me and has NEVER made a negative comment to me about my weight. He is tall and thin and never had a weight problem, so he really has no understanding of what it is like.

I forgot to mention this.  I went to World Market this weekend looking for SF syrups - what a COOL place!

They didn't have the SF cherry or SF black cherry, but the had a lot of other SF flavors you don't usually see in the grocery - SF caramel, SF white chocolate, SF English toffee etc.

I bought a bottle of SF English toffee and tried it in my protein coffee this morning - yum !!!!  I am going to try some in my fruit/yogurt smoothie this afternoon.

Late afternoon train here!!  It's been a busy Monday at work, and I'm just now getting a chance to pop on the train.  What a weekend!  Friday night we went to a seminar on raising kids with technology.  Very interesting stuff, and lots that will be changing and need to be aware of in the future.  Went out to dinner with some friends after wards and had a great time visiting.

Saturday we hung out with family, extended family and soon to be family at the rehearsal dinner.  It was at my in-laws house, so it was very causal and fun.  I got to meet a few relatives that couldn't make it to our wedding, and visit with a few that we haven't seen since our wedding.  Of course there was some of the usual pre-wedding hormone drama going on, but it wasn't too bad.  Had a difficult time Sat night with some stuff with Jeff, but we're working on it and through it.  Thanks for everyone *****plied to my post, it was so encouraging to hear from my chosen family.  I know I can work through the stress without going back to old habits, and I know I can always lean on you.

Sunday I had AT&T come out to fix one of our TV receivers and ended up feeling like a complete idiot.  The stupid video cable was loose so that's why it wasn't working.  Note to self, always check all connections twice before calling out a tech.  Sunday afternoon we went over to Paradise Cove on Lake Grapevine for the wedding.  Wow, it's really beautiful out there!  The wedding was amazing, Jacki (Jeff's sister) looked radiant, and Joe (new husband) cried as she was walking down the aisle!  We stayed there till around 10:30 last night and got home around 11:30.  Short night for me, but so far I'm doing good.

I've set up three realistic, achievable goals for June that I've posted on the June Jumpstart thread.  I really need to focus on things that I have in my immediate control and think this is a good start (or continuation) for me.

Debbie!  We have ALL learned this lesson the HARD way!!  LOL!  Believe me, I've called the 800 help desk at work and that was the problem!  I spent 45 minutes on the phone getting to a tech!  Geesh!  Did I feel stupid!!  LOL!!!
