How do you remember your Vits??
Ok, a lot has been posted lately about the importance of taking your vits everyday. So inquiring minds want to know.
What are your tricks for remembering? Do you have a Neon Sign on the mirror that yells at you? Are they by the pet treats so every time you treat the dog you treat you? Are they on your key chain?
Here is mine and I know with summer coming I have to change it...
I keep them in the car. I am in and out of the car several times a day and pop my multi's first thing before I start the car. My B-12 sublinguials are in the dash and I pop those before I get out...My extra calcium is in my nighttime med sorter and my iron is on my desk.
So what is your secret??

I have a pill box, like this one, with each day of the week labeled, with a compartment foe each AM and PM. It sits next to the coffee pot. That way I take the morning pills as I make my first cup and at night when I put the grounds in for the next morning's brew.

I need to get a pil box to remind me to take mine. They say Nurses are the worst when it comes to their own care. Well it's True!!! But I did take mine last night I have been finding I do remember at night time so figure if once a day is good then that is when i will take it. Just cant do the Calcium citrate tabs I hate them so havent taken it in months.

I do several things. I have those little jewlery bags for crafts that I prepare several weeks at a time and put the day on them. For Instance I carry 14 bags in my purse, 7 for the 7 days of the week labeled with the day and a.m. and 7 labeled day of the week and p.m. I also carry a little bag with my extra calcium, one for vitamin C and one for iron.
I also use the empty medicine bottles from prescriptions with vits in the for a.m. and p.m. on my desk in a little basket. Extra baggies for vitamin C, iron and calcium.
My Outlook at work pops up with a reminder to take them. Weekends are harder to remember because my schedule isn't set. I need to set up my cell phone alarm to remind me. I'll do that this weekend, because I'm scared to miss any now. I'm seeing so many post-ops with deficiencies and since I saw my labs drop I want to get a handle on being more consistant.
Carrying vitamins in my purse and having them on my desk gives me two options. If I don't remember the a.m. on the way to work, Outlook pops up at 8:00 a.m. and I grab them off my desk.
Oh and because iron is probably hardest for me to remember because of the restrictions of when, I am also going to add them to my night stand at home. I was doing this and got out of the habit.
Interesting thread Que, thanks for starting this.

I don't have a fancy box or anything for mine. When I get up in the morning, I let the dogs out and make piles of all of my vitamins for the day before I let them back in. Then, I note the time, take the first dose and everytime I check the clock during the day, if it's been more than an hour since the last dose, I take another dose. Until all 8 doses are in.
If it's a day that I won't be home all day, I pack them in a snack size baggie and keep them in my purse with me.

After I make all my kiddos' lunches in the evening, I get out four little medicine cups. One for each kiddo and myself. All their vitamins and any other meds they need (two are on sinus meds) go in theirs and I separate all mine out for the next day as well. When I come down in the morning, the two older girls have already left for school so I usually find the empty cups there on the counter. Sarah takes hers before school too. By leaving them out on the counter, I don't forget them throughout the day.
