Plastics docs in DFW/N TX area

I want to hear from those of you who've had your plastics and how awesome or not so awesome your experience was please.  Trying to get a feel for who to go interview/consult with.  Thanks!!!

Heard great things from several friends WLS and not WLS peeps regarding Dr. Byrne (www.create-beauty.com) I think?

I know that Debbi T loves her doc, can't think of her name right this minute. Her scars are so minimal and look so good.


I know i'm not the audience you really want to hear from, as I'll probably never get my plastics.

Connie and I both had the same surgeon Dr. Learman (sp?) He is wonderful, has experience with WLS patients and will not allow you to go "overboard"....I was very happy with his office staff, as well as him as a Doctor.  He was very well informed.  
I would at least give him a consoltation.

Another surgeon that I went to many moons ago and is now located in the Dallas area and recently on the news is Doctor Tidbetts~ he does some of the most wonderful breast jobs I have ever seen..he is an pioneer in his field of breast agmentations and reductions....I did not know that he was in the Dallas area when I was searching for a plastic surgeon.

Kris, I think I went to 4-5 different PS before I made my mind up to use Dr. Learman.

Dr Bruce Byrne was my doc and I had a great experience.  He has offices in Rockwall, Garland and I believe his partner has one in Irving.  They were D magazines Plastic Surgeon's of the Year (2009).  Also I felt like he was very reasonable price wise.  Next time I see you, we can play show and tell if you want, I'm not shy.

OK...but I hope you'll at least hop up on the table at the WinStar for show and tell so you can earn playin' money for flashin'!!  LOL!

I put quite a bit of detail on my profile about my experience if you feel like doing some light reading.  Alos have pics posted on my profile but they are pretty graphic as they were taken shortly after I had the surgery.

Kris I LOVE my doc.  Dr. Christine Stiles, www.drcarman.com.  She's in Frisco, at Baylor Frisco off the Tollway and Warren Pkwy.

The very first thing that impressed me was she personally answered my initial email that I sent to her office.  So few docs have the time, or make the time to do that these days.  Her office has no problem attempting to file with insurance, which again is not the norm for Plastic Surgeons.  She had done 40-50 massive weight loss surgeries when she did mine.  That was extremely important to me as regular cosmetic surgery is so different than what we need.

If you haven't seen my pictures, I have some on my profile.  I need to add some more because my scars have faded even more.  She did a panniculectomy only, with a bikini line incision and she moved my belly button.  Took 19lbs of skin off, and I went from a size 26 pants to a size 18.

She and her staff were the best I've ever dealt with.  They called me after hours and on weekends when I was recovering to see how I was doing.  Came in on the weekend to reopen my incision when I had a complication.  Always answered my questions and spent plenty of time making sure we understood how to do the wound care at home when I needed it.

If I choose to have any more plastics I'll definitely go back to her, even if the insurance won't cover it. If you have any specific questions, let me know.
