Got a surgery date on June 1st
Well after almost a year I have finally got a date and it is June 1st! I am excited but worried at the same time. Is there anything I need to be doing before hand to make everything go smoother? I will on;y have my 12 year old son for help (also have 5 year old twins) so I need to take care of many things before the actual day. Any suggestions? Any thing I might be forgetting that I will wish I had done before?

Tonya,
Congrats on a date, that is my surgery date too!!!! I have all my vitamins and protein powders. I actually already have my bag packed...according to everyone else, make sure you have chapstick and walking shoes with you when you go in for surgery. If you have any questions, I will answer the best I can. Congrats again!! See you on the losing side.

Wow Tonya the time is going to be here very soon now. Couple of suggestions:
1) Take your measurements and pictures (front, back, side)
2) Buy just a minimual amount of food, your taste may change
3) S/F popcicles are the bomb, lol.....sure helps to crunch on when you are on liquids only
4) Bring a pillow and chap stick to the hospital, don't over pack
5) Buy protein samples instead of a big tub www.bariatriceating.com, www.vitalady.com, www.unjury.com

If you are going to buy any of the Bariatric Advantage supplements or protein powder, go directly to www.bariatricadvantage.com. It is cheaper than going through www.bariatriceating.com

WooHoo Tonya!
I agree, samples, measure, take pics. I would stock up on bottled water. I would go to Sonic, and get a bag of their ice to stash in your freezer along with those yummy sf popsicles. Those are gonna be your best friend!
I am so happy for you! Praying for an uneventful surgery and recovery for you...
Blessings,
Jenn
