Happy Memorial Day--WLS Express
I just use the cobbler recipe off the back of the box of Bisquick and instead of sugar I use Splenda. I toss the berries in 1/4 cup of splenda and 2T of water and pour them on top of the batter and cook. I sprinkle the top of the cobbler with a little bit of Splenda and call it a cobbler!
Your loved!

Today is going to be a quiet day. I have a few errands to run then I have a tanning appt. I also need to stop by and see if the nail salon is open. I figure they will be as they are even open on Sundays.
Yesterday was a rough day with my mom. She cried most of the day and spent several hours at the cemetary. While she was gone I tried to find some information on grief support groups. Hospice has one tomorrow so I hope she will go. There are days that having her here are much harder then I thought. I know things will get better and it's just going to take some time. She doesn't know anyone here and that's part of the problem too!!! I feel quilty if I'm not home with her. Praying that today will be better.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day!!!!

I hope things do get better soon. Everyone grieves differently. For me crying in front of people seemed like it was a sign of weakness, and it took me a LONG time to get past that.
Hang in there.
AND- in all of this, don't forget to take care of YOU. You need that too.

Wow - what a couch potato kind of weekend at the King household it was. Races Friday and Saturday night, other than that we pretty much vegged out in front of the TV.
I suppose I should start to think about packing for my flight this afternoon. Start a project in Harleysville, PA tomorrow morning, so will be flying into Philly this evening. This client INSISTS we stay in corporate "housing" rather than hotels. I think they must own the damn apartment complex! LOL I hadn't been home long Thursday night from shopping to finish up the business casual wardrobe and got an email from the project sponsor "oh yeah, I forgot to tell you our dress code is summer relaxed (i.e., jeans)." UGH! Oh well, I bought some cute stuff and by gosh they are just going to have to see it!!
I hear Mr. King stirring about. He'll be screaming for breakfast any minute.
VETERANS - THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU GIVE OR HAVE GIVEN!!
It's been a busy weekend. Got LOTS done around the house - finished all the second coats of paint and touch ups that needed to be done. I did miss a spot in the kitchen but I can knock that our pretty quick today. New microwave/vent hood over the stove is fabulous! All the extra cabinets went back to Home Depot yesterday; living room got rearranged and sconces hung on the wall.
Today is work on getting the rest of the "stuff" outta the garage and either unpacked or repacked for storing for later!!! I know I could never have done all I did this weekend 160+ pounds ago!!!!!
Off to take my vits and get some kinda high protein breakfast in and hit the garage.
THANK YOU to all the service men and women!!! We appreciate what you do for us!!!
