Size 20/22 Interview Outfit Needed Desperately

My mother in law lost her job today and due to her wearing casual stuff at this last job for over 5 years she has nothing to interview in. If anyone has anything they are wanting to get rid of in this size that would be much appreciated. We are going to the resale shop but havent found anything yet. Just thought I would ask if someone had something that they think might work. She is petiete but we can have something altered -- my husband and I can pay for that.

Oh man, too bad you didn't know this last week.  I had several pieces at the clothing exchanges that would have been perfect for that.

I know I told her the same thing! I wear casual stuff to work too so I have nothing in my closet that will work --  We went to one resale shop yesterday but found nothing. Mainly there were causual clothes but nothing really that would work for interviewing. Thanks though -- I appreciate it! Hopefully we will find something :) I have faith. This couldn't have come at a worse time for her as she just bought a new townhouse and now worried about the mortgage. I hope she finds something soon!

If you don't find anything at the resale shops and no one here can offer assistance, try Beall's. When I was losing, I would go there to grab pieces for events where I had to be put together more than business casual. I found a couple cute suits there in the $20-25 range on their clearance rack.

I have a size 20 black with pink pin stripes 3 piece suit. It has a pink top that goes with it. It is not petiete, but you are welcome to it.

Talbots Outlet has AMAZING prices (typical example: $50 for a suit that was once $350) and tons of interview-appropriate things.  They carry women's sizes AND women's petite sizes.  The Talbots Outlet in Lewisville has been my mainstay ever since my RNY -- it took me from women's sizes to misses, now to petites (no hemming those pants!).

I got a card in the mail last week saying they are having a major sale starting May 26, so this is the ideal time to go.  You will feel like you are stealing their merchandise, it will be so cheap.

According to their website, they have a store in Meyerland in Houston.

I have 3-4 pairs of nice dress pants size 20 from Lane Bryant that she is more than welcome to, I have used them for interviews. I also have shirts that would go with them. Let me know, yall can come over and go shopping in my closet. :) Give me a call.
