GINA and DANA said it the best. This board has evolved just as any intense relationship will evolve over time. I believe and this is IMHO, this is the best online support board there is. That said, it is just that ONLINE SUPPORT. KATHY B also said it that you only get what you give and I believe that to be so true.
In my not so perfect world, I have learned that online support is one aspect; face-to-face support is another facet; my family and friends and co-workers are another part of the equation and I GET what I GIVE.
I learned that last part a long time ago just after my divorce - if you approach the world with a "glass" half empty attitude, you get back some negativity but if you approach with a glass half full attitude, the world is a much better place to inhabit.
I wish you well, Jeri, and I hope you find whatever it is that you are searching for; remember you have to be kind to you and take care of you first and foremost. If you can't make YOU happy, then, you need to work on that first, IMHO.

It's like we start here as babies and we need this board 24/7. But as we grow and develop our lives as WLSers, we learn to develop a life away from there.. BUT we are always going to need this place at times. Just like going home.
