I don't know either. I think I am going to wait till mine stops falling out as I don't want to cause more damage. My hair just started coming out around 6 months post op, so hopefully by the 9 month mark it will stop and I can get rid of the grays! :) Hang in there..eventually we will be back to normal colored hair.. ha ha.... I almost forgot what it looked like as I normally change hair color 3-4 times a year (with the seasons I guess!)

I continued to color my hair (professionally in a salon) all the way through my journey. I stopped perming it because I didn't want to stress it, and found that I like it better not permed!

I experienced some hair loss, but it was temporary. It did grow back.

Hello,
I am a hairstylist, go to the salon and get yourself fixed up, you are fine to do it now.

oohh I could never go 5 months without coloring my hair. LOL  Go get yourself fixed up.  It'll make you feel better about the hair loss.

I NEVER stopped doing my hair, even when it was falling out the worst.  I went to my hairstylist and got it done.  I COULD NOT or WOULD NOT go that long without doing my hair..........

Call your stylist and make an appoinment!!  LOL!

I used the good old Loreal $8 a box stuff then and now.  I've been doing it myself for years.  Sometimes a shorter cut helps a lot during the really thin stage.  That's what I did, and have since grown it back out, now that it's full again.
