Dr. Nick on Good Morning America!!

Last year at RYD our first speaker was Dr. Nick Nicholson.  I just LOVE him.  Check it out, he was on GMA. What an incredible representation of getting the word out to the general public.

Hey, I forgot to tell you this weekend.. since we had no time to talk..  My Mom actually convinced a young lady to keep trying to get her WLS after her insurance initially turned her down and wanted to quit.  My mom just bragged and bragged about the surgery and all the people that "live in my computer" that have had the surgery and to keep tryiing.

Well she was turned down again.  Poor thing is at about #400. She is the administrator at the local nursing home.  So the owners of the nursing home were convinced that it was so necessary to be able to keep her working and healthy, so they are agreed to PAY FOR HER SURGERY!!!  I wanted so much to her to come to the conference, but she was having surgery on Monday in Victoria.

Anyway, I hope to visit her when I go back down again and maybe I can get her here on the board.

How's that for a turnaround for family that really didn't believe in the surgery.!!

That's an incredible story!!!!!!!!!  You made me laugh out loud about the people that live your computer.   I think that would be such a great story!! I hope you can get her involved in some support of some kind because you of course know how important that is.  Wow...that's just awesome.
